  2. Just went shopping over the weekend. I'm now a size 2/4 pants! Craaazzy!!
  3. I had to be catheterized after because I couldn't go to the restroom on my own. I just felt violated. Lol. It wasn't that bad. The pain was waaay worse from the gas after surgery.
  4. I remember my taste buds being totally out of whack at first. It doesn't last very long.
  5. Surgery 1 year 2 months ago. 5'10 and started at 349. I wore 28 pant 3X top. Now 164 size 5/6 pant and medium/small top.
  6. ~~~I would rather be bald then to go back to 349 pounds!~~~
  7. I can't wait for my hair to come back!!
  8. I have lost 187 so far. My advice is to listen to your nutritionist and eat everything they tell you. I never drank calories or ate anything "bad" for the first year. I have added things lately now that I'm exceeding my goal. I just don't want to lose anymore! Just be patient. There were many times when I didn't lose hardly anything.
  9. I do look totally different from a year ago. It is crazy! Thank you!
  10. Lol! Thank you! I had to cut my hair. It has thinned out major! I'll deal with it. I'd rather be bald then to go back to where I was! I appreciate all the love! You are too kind!!
  11. I had my sleeve surgery on 12/22/2011. I have lost a total of 185 pounds. I was at 190, but felt that I was too skinny. I have been eating to keep my weight on now. I don't exercise regularly, but am much more active of course. I'm very tall also. I started my journey at 349 and now weigh 164.
  12. I was just approved for abdominal surgery! I didn't think it would be approved. I'm excited and scared!
  13. I did not cheat because I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to have the surgery. Just imagine going under and getting operated on and then waking up with an epic fail! Try to freeze the protein shakes just a little. It helps thicken it up a little more and it tastes like a milk shake! Drink broth all the time if your hungry. That helped me. I wish you the best of luck!
  14. I had to wait an hour before and after meals in the beginning. It is hard, but you get used to it. I take sips of milk when I eat peanut butter toast, but I am a year out. I don't suggest you do that. You need to train yourself to not drink with meals. I don't even think about it. When I go out to eat I order water only because servers think its weird if I don't and ask me several times during the meal.
  15. I just had my year anniversary on Dec 22. I just have to let everyone know.. A year from now it will be totally worth it all. The pain, dehydration, hunger, heart burn, hair loss, holiday food, buying a new wardrobe every month, and on and on. I have lost 183 in a year! I couldn't be happier! I hope for you all to get through it and can't wait for you to live again!
  16. I did everything my doctor and nutritionist told me to do. I just saw my surgeon yesterday and he said I can lose 20 more. I have met my personal goal already, but continue to lose. I will keep going for now. I haven't worked out like I should. Starting the gym tomorrow to tone tone tone!
  17. The only regret is that I didn't do it sooner also! I will be one year out on 12/22 and have lost 186! I couldn't be happier!
