I have similar issues. Out of nowhere my stomach starting hurting about two weeks ago. I also had the gnawing huger pain, felt like my stomach was being squeezed extremely tight. It last for a few hours then I was fine the next day. I was gonna let it go but it happen again on Sunday. I called my nurse and she said it might be my gallbladder. I'm at a nuclear medicine office now actually having my gallbladder tested. The front desk receptionist said they get a lot of patients who had weight loss surgery that now have issues with their gallbladder. Good luck to you!

Last Wed was 10 weeks since my surgery. I've lost 48 pounds which is great but now I'm at a stall. Last week was the first week I didn't lose anything. I actually gained a pound. I weighed myself Monday and as of today (Thursday), I'm at the same weight. I'm heading towards two weeks with no weight loss. Did anyone else experience the same thing. How did you start losing again?

LOL! I have been eating terribly and need to get back on track and need to be accountable to a weekly weigh in. I'm still a 6-8 but I feel bloated. Just need to get back on track <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />...I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the "what is this girl doing here" looks LOL...I used to do that to others too' date=' anyhoo I will keep you posted! Hugs!!!![/quote']3 years out.....if you don't mind me asking what's the most weight you've lost? Have you kept most of it off?

Thanks everyone' date=' I have BCBS 80/20 with a 3000 out of pocket cap. I am really hoping it's nowhere near that. Guess I will call my hospital to ask if they let you pay it out. Thanks and please continue to answer my original question, I am still interested in the numbers.[/quote']
I have BC in California had to pay my $2000 deductible, plus 80/20 so another $2000. I'm making payments to the hospital on the second $2000. It was more than I expected :-(

I was sleeved on 2/20 and I still can't eat much. And I'm tired of my Gummy Multi Vitamins so I tried a pill today and I wanted to vomit. I eat very little cause the food feels stuck and again, I want to vomit. I try hard to drink my Protein Drinks but I just can't get them down. What worries me the most is not getting all of my Protein in.

Thank you everyone!
-
Wow! So rude from someone who's asking for advice!

Any suggestions on Protein Drinks? I'm 4 weeks out and I can't stand my Protein drinks any longer. I hardly eat a thing so I know I'm not getting in the protein I need. I tried the chocolate Lean Body, some horrible Walgreens brand shake, and fruit punch Isopoure. Is there a drink you like? Did anyone else have trouble getting in their protein?

On Wednesday I'll be three weeks out and it's still hard for me. I try really hard but I can't drink all of my Protein Shake. I can eat soft foods but most make me want to vomit. I called my nurse yesterday and she said this is normal with the sleeve.

I'm 2 weeks out and for sure hungry. It might be in my head. I'm on stage 3 so I can eat soft foods but I can't get a thing in. A couple of licks of applesauce (yes licks, not bites) and I feel like I'm gonna vomit. I try really hard to drink my Protein Shake but can't get it down. I'm worried about my health. I'm definitely not getting my needed Protein, and I'm lucky if I eat/drink 300 calories a day.

Thank you very much ladies. And I'll try mashed potatoes, haven't had those yet.

I was sleeved on 2/20 and started soft foods this past Saturday (3/2). I was so excited to get away from liquids only. But wow, I can't eat a thing. I feel like I'm going to vomit right away. Even with apple sauce, I can't possibly chew it, i take very small bites (more like licks), and eat slow. But i feel like it's stuck in my throat and I want to throw up. Did anyone else go through this? I'm worried about my health. I do drink my Protein Shake, but I'm lucky if I get in 350 calories a day.

Ok, I think I do need to chew more and slow down between bites. Thank you!

So today I started soft foods and I was so excited. I wanted to finally eat something. I had eggs for Breakfast (about half of one) and vomited after. For lunch, I was out and about so I only had one ritz cracker cause I was scared of getting sick. For dinner I had Beans and felt like vomiting again but was able to hold it together. How was your transition from full liquids to soft food?
-
I have about 2 or 3 a day. I started soft foods today and my stomach isn't handling it too well. The Popsicles are life savers!

I was sleeved on 2/20 and I'm still on liquids. Last night I went to a family party and they had fried chicken, rice, chili beams, ceviche, cake, ice cream, plus more. It was mentally very hard as I sat there with my Protein Shake. But this is something I did expect to happen. Mind over matter and I have to remind myself of why I wanted the sleeve and how great I'm going to feel. But it's for sure not easy.

It's called phlebitis....I've had it before. It's a quick treatment and hot compresses are wonderful!
Ok, thank you. It's reassuring to hear from someone else who had it and all was fine.
-
Congrats! I was sleeved 2/20 and it's still surreal. Good luck!

Ok, good to know the antibiotics helped. Thank you very much!

Did anyone get an IV infection days later? I was sleeved 2/20 and last night my arm, near where my IV was, started to hurt and was bruising. I called the dr today and he told me to put a warm washcloth on it and prescribed me antibiotics. He said it'll be fine but I'm kind of worried. Any similar experiences?
-
Wow, congratulations. I was sleeved also on 2/20 and I'm down 16 pounds. It feels great!!!!

I was sleeved on 2/20 and the pain afterwards was horrible. I felt like I jumped off the Empire State Building and was then hit by a diesel. My nurse was giving me Tylenol through my I'VE but that wasn't helping. I asked for something stronger so they gave me morphine. That did help and made me sleepy, which was fine. The pain lasted for about 2 days. I was prescribed Vicodin but haven't used it at all. I feel fine now. Still sore and move a little slow, but overall pain free.
