    WTH?

i agree with you. like i said, i really would pay for this site if it were reasonable, especially if they added some helpful/super cool features.

    WTH?

okay, i apologize for flipping my ****. haha. goes to show we live in a world where someone doing something like that to make money isn't completely unfathomable........

    WTH?

are you kidding me? going from no charge whatsoever, to $5 A DAY??!? i totally understand the business aspect of things, and if it were reasonable i would gladly pay for a membership because i think this site is a great resource. but $5 a day? that's not reasonable........

    WTH?

When I had started on the track toward WLS, I searched the internet for an informational site that provided not only forums, but a sense of community where I could actually meet people and make connections, this was the only site I found that offered all of that. That being said, I believe this site is very helpful and would continue to be helpful to an extent through the changes, but the chat feature was a great way to actually GET TO KNOW other people going through the same experiences and build a support system. And speaking from a psychological and emotional standpoint, I think having that support system when going through such a major life change may be even more important than all the facts and advice obtained through the forums. If the point of this site is to TRULY HELP PEOPLE, then don't start removing vital resources or making it only for people who have the money to pay for it!!

Post-Op Day 5: Worried I feel too normal!

this is a very good point. thank you. i guess i just expected to be in more pain and have more trouble. i need to keep reminding myself that my stomach is still healing and not normal yet. despite how normal it feels.

Post-Op Day 5: Worried I feel too normal!

well, i didn't intentionally get into the thicker food. i kind of just realized today that some of the thicker stuff i've had is technically in the pureed phase. it's sort of a thin line between full liquids and pureed..... but also i think i'm less cautious because i feel so normal. i'm not really intentionally trying to go against the rules, but since i FEEL normal, i'm not thinking about it as much as i probably should.

    Day 4 of Pre-Op Diet

I was feeling crappy earlier today but after a little nap I felt pretty good. Guess I just didn’t get enough sleep. The fam had pulled pork sandwiches with veggies and then homemade strawberry shortcake… I had one of my shakes, a little pork (without a bun) and veggies, and a nibble of the shortbread just to taste, and I was totally satisfied and not even tempted to eat more. I literally ate 1/2 of what I would have normally eaten if not less. Amazing. And me and the fam just went on a night time walk, over 3 miles, and I even RAN… for like, a second. But still. Feeling good and prepared for life after surgery!!
