I did not have to send any records from my doctor here. The process is just like the response above!

Does anyone know if insurance will cover complications for surgery done in MX (if there are any?)My insurance company does not cover anything related to the surgery I paid out of pocket for. I never had any complications and we have to get creative with the medical billing codes for the bloodwork... then it is covered.

I also had Aceves as my surgeon and had a great experience!

You guys will love Dr. Aceves and his team. I was sleeved 12/20/12 and today I am down 73 pounds. I truly believe that the quality of the surgeon affects the outcome; not all sleeves are the same. I am lucky to have not suffered nausea or vomiting at any time.

So thankful to have not had a stall for more than 3-4 days. Sleeved 12/20/12 and am down 71.5 today!

Hi folks just checking in! Surgery was 12/20 and I weighed 290. Today I am at 232.5 and feeling great!

My 3 month surgiversary goal was to lose 60 pounds. I have one more day to lose one more pound. Hoping to see a loss tomorrow morning when I weigh in!

This might sound bad' date=' but I didn't use that thing at all. When they told me I had to do it that many times an hour, I was like WTF??? I only did it at the hospital and they didn't make me cough.[/quote']Same here!

So excited for you right now! I bet your pre-op stuff is almost done!

I don't mean to put anyone down but when people post that they have lost in excess of 100 lbs in such short periods' date=' it makes me angry. I wonder why them and not me??? I want to know if I'm doing something wrong and yet I know I'm following my protocol 100%. I just had to post because I don't come on here daily because of this reason. I guess I'm just jealous and petty. Anyone else feel like me???[/quote']Everybody is so different and you really can't compare anybody else's journey to yours. Would I have loved to lose over 100 pounds since my surgery? Of course! Am I happy to have lost 55 pounds since 12/20? Heck yes! Just follow your plan, focus on your successes, and the magic will happen!

Fiddleman I am sorry to hear this is happening. I hope you can get in to see your doc and find some relief soon. Sending good vibes your way!

Glad it worked out!

I sent a personal check for the deposit and paid the balance with a cashier's check after my pre-op testing was done. I would not send a wire.

I switch from my Pandora stations' date=' “you can’t touch this” and “80s Cardio”.[/quote']I LOVE 80's cardio!

I started with Nike+ but found it to be quite limited in capabilities. I now use Endomondo and like all the feedback, especially ascent and descent data. I wonder what the premium version has.

Hi all -I'm having surgery in TJ with Dr. Aceves on April 1st and traveling alone. To those who travelled alone -
How was your experience?
Were you miserable and wishing constantly that you had support?
I also went alone to Dr. Aceves and I was just fine. A friend was going to go with me but at the last minute was unable to due to work obligations. Once I got there I was glad she hadn't come because I wouldn't have wanted to worry about her (was she bored? was she having fun? was she comfortable at night? was she warm? was she cold? did she have enough to do to keep busy? was she getting enough to eat/drink? etc.) and I was able to focus on myself and doing what I needed to do to heal and be comfortable.
You will get to know your fellow sleevers during the pre-op stuff you have to do and once you all go to the hotel you may find yourself dining with them like I did. You will check in on them and they will check in on you - so you will have that support. Plus, I found that I got extra visits from both Aceves and Campos since I was alone.
If I needed anything (lights on/off, door open/closed, etc.) the nurse was there within seconds.
You'll do great!

At last check a week ago' date=' I've lost a total of 56 pounds. I'm below 300 for the first time in a long time. I have had issues with my Iron levels and now my Vitamin D is low. Unfortunately, both make you tired, lucky me! I haven't been exercising as much as I would like to because my energy is so low some days. I'm fighting my second bad cold since surgery now, awesome. I have enough snot for 3 people. Hopefully it will pass soon.[/quote']Nice loss! Hope you get those vitamin levels up soon and feel better!

Costco's great for their frozen salmon. Comes individually packaged' date=' and one piece is two meals for me. The tilapia comes the same way . Great products[/quote']I bought some fresh wild cod at costco last weekend and ended up returning it because there was a (live!) parasite in the tray. I almost died.
