  1. I had surgery April 24th. Still can't get my calorie count past 570. I am doing puréed and just don't have enough hours in the day to get my fluids and food in! I eat and am full for at least an hour. Then have to work in some fluids before I eat again otherwise I would not get my fluids in. It's been hard and I am afraid I am going to stall out because my body will think I am starving it! At this point post op, should I be able to get to 1000 calories? Someone level set me...cause I am worried about my ability to get my calories in each day. Sent from my iPad using VST

  3. I don't like the taste of the unjury. Tried the tasteless in my soups and it still had that Protein taste. Not to mention I had lukewarm soup to keep the powder from breaking down with high heat. Yucky! But our taste buds are all so different on this board. Sent from my iPad using VST
  4. Think positive. I waited for 6 years for this procedure....so my attitude is I will succeed cause 6 years is a lot of time to plan and dream of the new me. You to have to know that you will succeed. Can't wait to see the new and successful you when you come on over to the sleeved side. Sent from my iPad using VST

  10. Are you taking the max dose of your pain meds and are you taking them around the clock and not missing doses? I took my anti-nausea and pain meds on schedule the 1st week and was sleepy most of the time but it helped with my nausea and kept my pain under control. I am an old post op surgery nurse so I know pain management the 1 st week after surgery is important. Also get up and walk around to move your gas out. That really does help. If you think things are not improving......check in with your Dr. Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. So today should have been my first day of puréed. I have a bullet so overnight I did a whole chicken in my crock pot, deboned it and took the juice and some meet and puréed everything. It looks like wet mush! But it is delicious! I abate two tablespoons which is what my Nut has on my instructions...it hit my tummy like a rock! Ouch! But after 2 mins the discomfort went away and I am satisfied! Yippee!!!!!!!! I can have 4 more servings today. I feel much more normal. Anti, the potted meat and crackers are on my list for this puréed transition given to me by the Nut I have been working with. I just should have waited til today to try puréed. Thanks for the information . Sent from my iPad using VST

  13. I was so tired of just fluids! I had 2 tablespoons of potted meat with 2 crackers. You would have thought I had a filet...it was soon good! What I thought is that I would feel full....but I don't. I even took about 1 oz of Water and still did not feel full....hmmmmm....what's that about? I actually have not had that full feeling sensation since my 1st week of fluids. Any one experience that only 2 weeks after surgery? Sent from my iPad using VST

  15. I am losing from my face down....my girls are not as full now...much more comfortable. The last to go for me are my gigantic thighs! That is my historical weight loss pattern I have been yo-yoing so long I don't believe my descent the 100th time around will be any different. Sent from my iPad using VST
  16. I am on omprezole and take 40 mg. my reflux just stared kicking up the past 4 days. So I am concerned, but my Dr is not. He said as my swelling decreases with my new tummy the pressure will go down and my reflux should diminish. Although there are some people who continue to experience it. I hope I am not one of those people. It's uncomfortable and makes me feel hungry. Sent from my iPad using VST
