  1. This was the best choice I could have ever done. I followed everything to the letter I was asked to do.

Started at a size 42 waist a year ago. Down to a 30 waist . Lost 86 pounds. Lost over 80 inches in total between the neck chest arms belly waist thighs

Loss all medications for diabetes high blood pressure and very high cholesterol

Feeling great eating anything I want to eat anytime.

    Good luck to everyone

  2. I had my sleeve October 15 ,2012. I was the same over weight all my adult life or say heavy set guy. I was at 273 the night before. Now I'm at 188 in a 30 inch jean and a medium shirt. I feel awesome. I was the same tossing around the sleeve or lap band. In all the studies i did the lap and is foreign object in your body. Your body might erect it than u have to have surgery to remove it. Plus all the adjustments required throughout the entire time of the lap . After all the pros and cons i came up with the sleeve as the better choice. My only regret was i wish I ad done this 5 years sooner. I did go to Mexico for mine its not offered in Canada

  4. The first time I tried food slowly everything did not go well at all. But I just spy trying and pounding through.

fruit was the hardest to get use to again and remember chew chew chew .

That was the hardest part to remember to do after.

But I do eat everything now I can say I did finally eat a cheese burger.

My parents don't know I did this and was there or supper and I'd not have a lot of choice that night. Took awhile to eat but I did get it down with a struggle.

  5. I'm down 73 pounds since November 15 ,2012

I eat anything now steak chicken Pasta everything

When I came home from Mexico I did Jello and pudding for 2 weeks

After 14 days I started eating chicken in small portions and liquid

Breakfast and lunch I did 30 gram Protein Shakes and ate Protein chicken shrimp white fish for supper

I have eliminated all pop alcohol and wasted calorie food out of my life.

I was in a 40 inch waste and now down to a 32 inch waist with a belt

XXL shirt down to a medium/ large depending on the shirt

  6. Every body is different. Your getting your Water in every day?

Are you getting your Protein 60 grams a day chicken ,turkey, fish or shrimp ect?

Are you trying to eat 6 times a day ?

I'm kinda nibbling on Protein all day . I never feel hungry but I take a bite here and there from 6am-8pm everyday 7 days a week.

Don't worry about veggies and potatoes. Just work on the protein and Water

I do a Protein shake for Breakfast every day with crushed ice to make a smoothie out of it or orange juice and Protein powder

Pound away at chicken, fish shrimp turkey, egg whites all day a bite here and there all day I'm eating and I lost 49 pounds in 49 days even through Christmas time and all the baking everywhere

  7. Just relax you will feel like your in a 5 star resort. You will be pampered and looked after just like a day at the spa.

Just remember to walk around lots after the surgery even if u don't want to walk. It makes everything feel better faster.

I know you will want to just lay there but the more you walk the faster you will feel better.

Every time they woke me up to give me meds into my IV I got up and walked around the floor.

I think even the nurses thought I was crazy.

Lots of as to get rid of . Only 2 ways to get it out . And it felt good every burp.

  8. Be happy . Your going to be in great hands down there. Just be ready follow your diet plan before going.

Everything else will be smooth. Mi-hospital is an awesome place.

    My doctor was Fernando Garcia

Contacts were Rosie and Melissa (melly)

    They are awesome.

The hospital is a hospital it's 3floors high it's very clean you get your own room with a full bathroom/shower tv ect

  9. Don't be nervous at all. Everyone is like family. Just be ready for the change and look forward to the new body and be very positive. The hardest thing you have completed and that's the pre diet.

Once you have board the plane your on the home stretch is how I looked at it.

What place are you going to

  10. I'm down 49 pounds in 49 days often surgery

    Surgery was nov 15,2012

    Started at 273

    Bmi 38/39

30 days down to 239 pounds -34 pounds in 30 days

did my inches I was down 24 inches

    49 days out 224 pounds -49 pounds

Yes I flew from Canada to San Diego by myself. The driver picked me up at the airport

10 minutes later into Mexico and did my blood work at mi-hospital and meet most of the staff

  11. Try your best to only weigh yourself every 30 days and do your measurements. The measurements are the best way to consider if your losing weight. As you lose the unwanted weight your going to be more active and start to gain muscle. Muscle does weight 2.5 x what fat weighs.but your inches will drop showing and proving to you this is still working. Never to feel disappointed when your inches are dropping and your going into a smaller pant size even if your weight is steady. Your gaining muscle finally in your life again. This is huge and very positive. It's the best that can happen for you. This means your body is working like it should be and the little factory inside is back and producing. Than your body will go back searching to locate the unwanted body fat and converting it into energy for what your new body is requesting everyday.remember Protein and Water are the most important. Get it all in.

  12. I'm only 49 days pre op I'm down 49 pounds and lovin it every day looking a mirror.

The best thing I did was took pictures the day I started my cleanse . When I see the pictures they do say 1000 words wow over and over. I would also recommend do your measurements just in case you think your in a stall. You will become more active and start gaining muscle the pounds may not drop off but your inches will be dropping.

I will follow up again on jan 15th. I'm looking forward to be heading south to viva Las Vegas jan 20.

    Started at 273

    Bmi 38-39

    30 days dec15 239 pounds -34

    49 days jan 4 224 pounds -49

  13. I'm so happy I have completed my surgery everything went 100% for me

I flew home Monday November 19 went to wrk the next morning at 7 am

I started this at 273 I'm only 16 days post surgery and I'm down to 245 that's amazing 28 pounds down

I feel amazing everyday just watching the pounds get used up in my body everyday

Yes eating some Protein now is a bit hard to learn to get that feeling YOUR FULL STOP.

Now I know the feeling and I'm trying to eat Protein every 2 hours in a very small quantity all day.

pudding is tasting great I don't think I can eat any more chicken broth and green Jello

  14. I would really look around Dr.almanza and the Internet he is performing 10-12. A day

To have a very sanitized OR is very important each surgery takes 1.5-3 hours depending on each patient

I would do some more investigating I did.

It's very important you want the best doctor and team with the doctor and the support staff for you

This is a very major surgery your going to be receiving .

My family doctor is very pro for this surgery but only likes a couple of the doctors performing it. He helped e lots pick he correct doctor for me

  15. Dr Garcia is amazing and the entire team he has is incredible

In a hospital Mi-Hospital is very comfortable clean and professional

I would recommend this experience to anyone that wants to make a huge change in life

My only thing is when you feel like crap walk around the more you walk it makes you feel better

I pushed myself ever 2 hours to walk around and 8 hours after my surgery I looked and felt awesome

Many people asked me when my surgery was happening I said its done all ready . They could not believe I was up and moving around and just cruising the hallways .

If they would have let e out side I would have being walking around the block with my IV in one hand and my other and holding my gown together in the back
