I'll bump this, I want to dye my hair so I'm interested in the answer

It's kinda like liquid. I too can finish a large amount of semi soft food. But with dense Protein, a few bites and it's over. don't stress too much about it I'm 6 weeks. But back at 2 weeks I could also do larger amounts of cottage cheese than others Edit: I'm sorry! Thought you were speaking about Jello Gelatin. I have not tried pudding at all but imagine that at 70 calories per container for the sugar free ones you should be fine.

Milk of Mag= terrible!
SeriouslyChange replied to newgirltx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It tastes like butt! I unfortunately drink it once a week for a bowl movement. It leaves a residue on your tongue and... Eww. -
I went back at 16 days post op. I brought a hard boiled egg with me. My surgeon clears us for veggies at 2 months. So it's been eggs and those mini mozzarella cheese wheels for me at work. I drink my shake for breakfast on my way there as well.

My "special friend" has always wanted me to ride him but I've always been afraid to squish him. Any advice on getting over the fear? And is it really that great? Never been on top before so I'm wondering -
Valentines Day Challenge!

Bought my scale today! Guess my company party was good for me. Danced nonstop for 3 hours and saw a great loss : ) Totally made my day -
You're doing pretty good. Just introduce new foods one by one in case you have a reaction.

When were you sleeved? It gets better with time, so don't worry. I'm 6 weeks and still struggle. I can't seem to eat enough, calorie wise. Are you tracking your calories?
-
Probably not. : ) just eat till you feel comfy but not stuffed. Eat slow

I want to go to Vegas again and this time not hold back because I think everyone is looking at how fat I am. I didn't zip line, bungee jump, ride the bull. I didn't really even want to leave the hotel -
What if you were to freeze for of the shake into ice cube like pops? May help with the need to chew?

Wavering...sleeve or plication?
SeriouslyChange replied to AStephenson's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The cold feeling happens with weight loss in general. You lose insulation which = cold feeling. I love the cold feeling as i get hot easily now. It's kind of a type of trade off. There are pros and cons to each. But I would rather have a useless piece of stomach cut out than run the risk of an infection or ulcer in the fold. That just my opinion though. -
My surgeon didnt require a pre op diet either. Had a grilled cheese and lemonade as my "last meal" the night before and then milk of magnesia. Every surgeon is different. Perhaps the 4 days would be easiest for you as they are the shortest?

I was told eggs, I prefer hard boiled, lean deli meat slices, and soft cheese.

Have you tried pedialyte? The baby fluid? It's like Gatorade but lighter on the stomach

4 days out and having second thoughts
SeriouslyChange replied to dreamerfalava's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I saw a friend 2 days ago that saw me 2 days post op still in the hospital. I am 6 weeks post op now. First thing she told me: you look amazing! And then she asked if I still regretted getting sleeved. I guess I went on a whole rant in the hospital about how this was the worst decision of my life, that I would fail, that its not worth it. And I told her: no, I feel almost normal now. I do not regret this it was the best thing I've done for myself -
I paid before by phone

Drinking Alcohol
SeriouslyChange replied to vanessabalderas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drank last night. I am 6 weeks out. It hits me a lot faster and lasted a bit longer than I am use to. Can't drink half as much as I use to, but still kept up somewhat. -
5'5" Women....what is your goal weight or size?
SeriouslyChange replied to VSGRachel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5'4 and would be happy between 175-200 pounds. That is what I weighed in high school and though I still had a gut, I really liked how I looked. Still had curves in all the right places ; ) -
I wore a pair of heels last night that I haven't worn in 6 months. My feet had so much room it was hard to walk. Made it through the night but will buy a new pair

You should talk to your doctor. That is a lot of food

How do you know if someone likes you?
SeriouslyChange replied to SeriouslyChange's topic in The Gals' Room
I guess I'm just going to feel it out. I overheard him saying that he would never date someone from work so I think it wouldn't work out. The attention is nice though -
Is it weird that I now have a deathly fear of eating TOO much? I am 6 weeks out, and I know that my calorie intake is not where it is suppose to be. But I can't imagine eating more. I hit enough Protein, and Water could be better, but I just can't eat more. If I go over my usual amount of calories, I feel like a failure. Anyone feel the same way?

What Did You Eat At 4 Weeks?
SeriouslyChange replied to soccermom1's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I am a hard boiled egg and tuna girl! My food at 5 weeks include: eggs, tuna, deli meat, grilled chicken. I'm pretty happy with the same menu everyday which is why my choices are limited.
