If you explain the situation to a banker, they should be able to help you. You put down a deposit pretty much and now they won't give it back and are changing their story. Your bank can investigate and all that on your behalf.

Drinking... Alcohol anyway...
SeriouslyChange replied to lovemyself2012's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That's not really true. I plan on drinking for every birthday until I'm in my 80's. heck, my grandma would enjoy her wine well into her 90's Everyone can make their own decisions about their own bodies. You have no right to tell anyone that they'll be messed up by their 40's for drinking. This will sound kind of depressing: we are all going to die one day. Such is life. Why should we not live life to the fullest and take risks? There is always a chance that something will go wrong but you shouldn't be afraid and let fear dictate how you live your life. I would love to look back and know that I enjoyed life rather than be afraid to live every day. -

Each surgeon is different. Follow your guidelines, I had to wait 7 weeks to have veggies and fruits! Lol Are you on Clear liquids?

Did you pay cash? Or with a card? Perhaps your bank can get in on this fight

I had to go to another psych. The first one told me that though I don't eat when stressed, I am an emotional eater and should work on that for 6 months. Made no sense. Went to the second psych and she wanted a phone follow up to see that I was following my pre op plan and I was approved

Drinking... Alcohol anyway...

I'm not condoning drinking, but I drank a lot of double shots at my company party 6 weeks out. Make your own decision. I enjoyed my one night, yes I did, lol, but I also would save those nights for special occasions, few and far between. My calorie count on that night was almost double what I typically do in a day. Then again I'm at a pretty low calorie count but still. -
Any recommendations? Body pump was good and step kicked my butt! Any other good ones?

I am very sore from working out yesterday. I did weight training and cardio. Should I give myself a day off to recover or keep going? I want to do more cardio today but am not sure if its okay for me to. Yesterday was my first work out in... Years.

Your policy should state how much of a copay hospitalization is. You will also get a letter in the mail telling you how much it is and how you can pay

I didn't have a catheter. Ask your surgeon if they use one

Anyone Getting Cold since surgery?
SeriouslyChange replied to crdevans's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I stopped having a sweating problem. Not even having my long hair down keeps me warm anymore whereas before it would make me so hot! -
NEVER eating a french fry again!
SeriouslyChange replied to Alicia0022's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly, everyone's different. Where some people drink coffee, 1 sip of coffee or iced tea will keep me up for 2 days. I can sip juices and eat carbs. I haven't tried a shake or ice cream, and I don't think I will for a long while but I foresee no problems. It's best to think about these things carefully. I wanted dumping. I was going for RNY at first but my surgeon convinced me to get sleeved. If you don't want to risk a chance of dumping, perhaps WLS is something you shouldn't consider. -
5 weeks out, almost 50 pounds gone, can anything I want but I feel so fatigued!
SeriouslyChange replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
6 weeks. I now feel great! Not run down, HAPPY. I use to be really shy and quiet but find myself opening up and feeling great. I also got sick at 5 weeks. Hang in there. chicken bullion cubes were a life saver. -
I was super heavy day of surgery. They gave me a pad and all was well. Post op though, be forewarned that you probably won't be able to wipe. So have a willing family member ready or ask a nurse. My step mom put on gloves, grabbed a wad of toilet paper and wiped me a few hours out of surgery. SO humiliating but it felt wonderful to be dry!!! I had to ask nurses to wipe me that night and the day after and they kinda half butted it. I like to be completely dry inside and out, not just a quick swipe without going between the lips. Sorry, tmi, but it's true. And I was too shy to ask her to wipe harder and go between. Had a shorter cycle and then was about a week late for my next period. I was hella nervous because of my period. My surgeon was a male, lol, and yeah. But I survived and so will you! I wouldn't recommend tampons. I prefer tampons but can you imagine trying to pull out the string after major stomach surgery? Pads are easier!!!

Wow, can't believe the "dirt" comment. I mean, really? My dermatologist told me that if it bothered me so much, that I should lose weight and poof, it'll go away. Can't wait for that NSV when my inner thighs match my legs! Lol

Soreness after workout, continue next day?
SeriouslyChange replied to SeriouslyChange's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Should I just workout through the soreness? I have weight lifting tomorrow, my legs and butt are in the good kind of pain, but I can only imagine how I'll feel after the squats and lunges with a barbell tomorrow -

NEVER eating a french fry again!
SeriouslyChange replied to Alicia0022's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tamales at Christmas had me very sick. Not worth it. I understand I get cravings, salty, greasy foods were my vice before. I had a half a sweet potato fry a few days ago. Tasted okay. Inspired me to go buy a sweet potato and eat it lol -
Work Rumors..... Ahhhhh
SeriouslyChange replied to lilpun75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would personally be PISSED if someone told me that they thought I was taking time off for WLS. Then again, that is so random. If I hear someone saying, "I'm taking a 2 week vacation" I don't just think, "oh snap! She MUST be getting sleeved!!!!" Did you me mention you were thinking about it to someone? -
At 3 weeks your stomach is still sensitive. I'm 7 weeks and eat everything fine, just small portions though
