Today i found out that i streched my pouch
SeriouslyChange replied to LadiWobs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, I really can't believe that the only reason you posted on this thread is to try to prove to all that she was lying? -
Something im excited for...
SeriouslyChange replied to BigFatLoser's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was there too. Post op is pretty f-ing amazing. I have a ball looking through my clothes because everything fits. I'm waiting to invest in a new wardrobe, it's pointless when you're still losing. I bought a pair of black pants for my company part January 8. Today they are too big. How far along in the process are you? -

SeriouslyChange replied to newgrandmother's topic in Food and Nutrition
My fav is a lettuce bun with a bit of meat and cheese inside. Love that crunch! -
Today i found out that i streched my pouch
SeriouslyChange replied to LadiWobs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I understand her because if she was truly sleeved and has the paperwork she signed to prove it then what is happening to her is not possible. It's not physically possible to eat that much a few days post op with a sleeve period. You would split a staple line. As long as you have paperwork stating that you were to be given a gastric sleeve, it seems like a green light for a suit. Get a second opinion from another doctor ASAP. And if they say that it looks like nothing was done then consult an attorney. -

This is actually making me really upset now. Who the f do these people think they are? Contact a malpractice attorney ASAP. It's sounding like you have a case here. -

SeriouslyChange replied to LadiWobs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly, I think they put you under and didnt do anything. Do you have stomach scars? Pain when you sit up? I'd say go for a second opinion and sue the sh*t out of these frauds. They have no right to play you like that. Playing with your emotions, making YOU feel like you failed when in reality it's THEIR fault -

I got knocked out before I could ask to keep mine. Lol, I wanted it in a jar. But then again, post op I was in too much pain to ask for it

Skin Tiightening Procedures? What Non Surgical Works?
SeriouslyChange replied to mommy794's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Body wraps are ALL a scam, it's been proven by studies that they are only a temporary fix. The minute you stop using them, your skin goes back to being loose. You can use compression garments and firming lotion and achieve the same "amazing" results for a fraction of the price http://www.m.webmd.com/healthy-beauty/features/body-wraps-what-to-expect?page=1 -
I kinda hate going out lol. I get weird looks from waitstaff wondering why I am only eating a small portion and boxing up the rest. Food may seem like the biggest issue to you now, it was for me pre op. but it is extremely liberating to know that food isn't your life anymore. Plus I'm saving money as well

Wife isn't supportive
SeriouslyChange replied to Harpo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My room mate is my... Significant other. It's complicated but we've been together to the point where it's considered a common law marriage lol. Anywho.. When I told him I wanted to have surgery, his response? "That's on you, do what you wanna do" I was undecided and he was the only one who actually said that it didn't matter. I always brought it up and he always told me, "it's not like you're going to do it anyways" and negative things like that. Days before surgery I was freaking out. I was going to stay with my parents for the two weeks of recovery. Day of, He helped me load my bags in the car and I was crying. He got emotional as well and told me, "you'll be fine, just come back to me okay?" And I left. He still eats mc chickens and fries. Rice crispys are looking at me right now!!! Lol, and his Breakfast this morning: French toast. But, he is also supportive now that he sees the results. He'll throw out his food when he's done because I don't want to look at it. Give her some time. She should come around once she sees that you are 100% sure that you want to do this. She may be insecure and think that once you get thin you'll leave her. My room mate and I have a rocky relationship and we've talked about this as well. Do it for you and no one else. Be selfish and put yourself first. -
I have sips of soda every once in a while, probably 3 times and I'm at 2 months out. If I get the urge to try it, one sip will do. I've always hated carbonation, but regardless, it doesn't sit well enough in my sleeve that I would consider drinking a whole soda. 3 sips is usually all I need

Winter coat, weight loss gauge!
SeriouslyChange replied to SusieK710's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love that feeling too. My new favorite coat is one that I stopped wearing last year because it couldn't zip up. Now it's too big but I make it work and love it -

SeriouslyChange replied to rockdutchess82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I couldn't bend. Day one I couldn't even wipe my own as s. as the days went on it gets better, took me almost 2 weeks to sleep on my side. But now I'm back to normal -
Going back to work
SeriouslyChange replied to sailorbrees's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was going to go back 5 days out, but ended up getting 2 weeks off instead. My stomach was still tender and I am glad I waited. Give it a shot and if you turkey don't feel up to it, talk to your employer and maybe you can get a few more days. -

HURT BY COWORKERS
SeriouslyChange replied to JuliannaJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would be hurt by this too. Like others have said, I suppose this shows you who your friends are, and I am sorry it happened to you. Did you tell anyone you were having WLS? -
Vertigo?
SeriouslyChange replied to Fallenangel2904's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's a result of the lower calorie intake. Happens to me too. It gets better but I think it's a long term thing -
Incisions Itchy & Red - see photo
SeriouslyChange replied to Misty_eyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Misty! Congrats on your surgery!!!! I too had a reaction to the strips, mine left me with red bumps everywhere. Make an appointment with your PCP and they can prescribe you a steroid cream for it. I used one and poof, all better -
Just received a verbal beating...
SeriouslyChange replied to HoosierGirl's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
My dad chewed me out the same way pre op. i went to my dads yesterday and told him, "look at my jeans! They're so big now, soon I'll need a whole new wardrobe and for some reason, heavy people don't donate clothes!" He smiled a smile that showed me he was truly happy that I was happy. He then told me, "hopefully this whole thing you went through will help you have a better life and be happy" Parents. Gotta love em -
Insurance doesn't cover WLS :( Now what?
SeriouslyChange replied to Mommyto3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work at a health foods store and their insurance excludes WLS and any weight loss support. Kinda sad, luckily my parents insurance covers all. -
Low Carb Slim Fast Versus Unjury?
SeriouslyChange replied to determined4's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I'd go for the protein powder, they tend to have more grams of protein per serving than slim fast.
