  1. That is soooooo great to hear! I always say things happen for a reason!
  2. Thanks for the suggestions!
  3. Congrats! I just hit my first goal of 20 lbs. Success stories like yours really notivate me!
  4. I had Protein drinks - I was proud of myself to not cheat! I just really wanted my cream soups! I made it home! Had my soup! Next road trip it will be easier to pack food because of the type of food I will be able to eat! Happy Holidays!
  5. I finally get to eat and we are stuck on the road! Two gas stations have subway - get broccoli and cheddar soup. Nope - they were out right before I got there! Pulled off and stopped at a Subway in town- no soup! Gonna keep trying. I am scared to try anything but what is on my diet since I have to drive on bad roads and don't want to be in pain!
  6. Hang in there! In the long run - it will be worth it!
  7. How are you now? Do you see some improvement?
  8. Congrats! I am so happy for you!!!! So glad you hung in there. Get ready for a new life. I am 11 days post surgery and down 9 pounds.
  9. I went through the same thing except it was the dr office. I am bipolar and had to jump through extra hoops. I didn't need an official evaluation but my therapist had to answer questions and subkit something. Then - after I did all of that and got approval from Aetna - the dr office made me go to my regular dr about the meds. This was at the last moment as I was trying to get surgery before the end of the year. She could have told me in the beginning when I found out all the hoops. Hang in there!
  10. Have you heard anything?
  11. No issues with jello - it really helped. I hit week 2 a few days ago so I get creamed soups! Is it sad to be excited for creamed soups?!!!!
  12. I agree about the head hunger. I even dreamed the other night about cheesy tater tots! Just keep fighting the fight!
  13. I was taking gas and heart burn medicine. I am 8 days post op. I agree with the writer up above that I was second guessing myself the second day. I agree - keep walking and just sipping. It will get better. Everyone recovers different. You should start to see improvement soon.
  14. I had surgery on Thursday and came back the next Wednesday. I also sit at a desk all day. I am still on pain meds but have done ok. We shall see how tomorrow goes.
  15. I fully understand your frustration. I had to jump through so many hoops to get this approved. I was fortunate the actual final approval only took about 1 1/2 weeks - but getting to that point took forever! Just hang in there!
  16. There is a help doc in here to tell you how - but I am getting my butt kicked too and I am not technology challenged.
  17. Well - I have surgery in two days. I have been scrubbing my house spotless. Yelling at the kids to get their stuff done. Very thankful I am on the liquid diet for only 1 week. I did play soccer last night - it has been had while being on the liquid diet. I actually played 3 games. I made sure I stayed very hydrated. I haven't decided if I am going to play Wednesday night, the night before surgery.
  18. Hope you can go home! I have surgery Thursday. It is good to hear it is going well for others.
  19. Good luck! It will be worth it in the end. I am Dec 13th. I am excited and nervous! At least you can see light at the end of the tunnel!
