    My first exercise NSV!

    When I started with the trainer I could BARELY do 10 squats let alone 50! I do love the workouts and the way he varys them! I will be traveling next week and he was awesome enough to send me mini WOD's for me to do the days I would have seen me. So I have homework LOL

    Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

    Done!!! I noticed a definite slow down in my run..about half way became more of a slow job while I was like OMFG CLOCK GO QUICKER!!! I also ran outside in the sun wearing black..yes I am that stupid sometimes.. 1.85 miles 16:46 average per mile I am wheezing a bit..side effect from my smoking days, but I felt pretty good when I got done.

    Feel like a failure :(

    I declare today..NO PITY PARTY DAY!!!! Not saying you are having one..just trying to lighten the mood Rome wasn't built in a day and your will power isn't going to magically appear and be like OMG DON"T EAT THAT.. Everyone makes mistakes..learn from them..analyze what caused it and try to find a distraction...If I find myself grazing towards the cupboards I go upstairs and clean my bathroom or some nonsense. You got this!

    First Congrats!!!! You are doing really great. Secondly your emotions are on a wild rollercoaster right now..your body is undergoing a HUGE transformation which is also releasing massive amounts of estrogen from those stored fat cells you are burning. So it is completely normal to have some emotional feelings that run the gamut from depression to anger to elation etc. Just keep on being honest about your feelings and engage your husband in your journey. And most importantly keep on working that sleeve!

    Whatever works Lisa! You are barely a month out..your energy levels will return and before you know it you will be wanting to go to the gym! I also do a trick for myself when I get depressed or think OMFG I DIDN"T LOSE 90 POUNDS THIS WEEK WTF!!!!! I have sticky notes I put on my mirror..they say things like "You are beautiful" or "Keep up the great work" or "You can do it" I know it sounds corny but try it My boyfriend even wrote me one..I woke up one morning to see "Your ass is magnificent" on my mirror

    How good or bad are pork rinds?

    Other than they could be a total slider food and are pretty much nutritionally devoid lol nothing! I have used them though in recipies that call for breadcrumbs as a binder.. Meatloaf with BBQ pork rinds..YUMM!

    It helps me poop! Like John..this was my one non negotiable..I gave up smoking, Pop, crappy foods, etc! I just couldn't give up coffee too. I drink one cup a day with sugar free creamer and a splenda

    There is a thread in the Pre-Op forum I think that is pinned that describes the things to buy for the hospital and after! I used it but I found I didn't have some of the issues people mentioned so I took a bunch of stuff I didn't need!
  14. I was like you..never had a surgery or even been in the hospital at all before my surgery. You will be just fine! I was expecting that whole count backwards thing lol and BAM before i knew it I was waking up in recovery. I stayed two days and I was anxious to get out of there..don't expect to get much sleep with all the poking and blood pressure monitoring lol

    I am 5'3 and at my highest weight was 240..my boyfriend is 6'3 and weighs 145 SOAKING wet It bothered me at first but I honestly don't even think about it anymore.

  18. Just interested to see if anyone has actually been measuring their blood ketone levels. A co worker and I have been reading a book around the science of low carbohydrate performance and found a podcast where a guy measured his blood ketones for a year. He had a lot of interesting things with a lot of science to back it up and I was curious to see if anyone had or has been doing that.

    4 months out and 46 pounds down. Been stalling the last the two weeks but other than that pretty steady loss. I want to reach the 50 pound mark though!!

    I no longer can tolerate real eggs at all whether they are fried or scrambled..now Egg Beaters is no issue! I love sunny side up eggs too

    Anyone else feeling down

    With rapid weight loss, your body is releasing massive amounts of estrogen that were stored in those fat cells. This is going to cause ups and downs and mess with your emotions. It is completely normal and this too shall pass! Just remember to take some deep breaths and when you feel an episode coming on..get up and move about..the release of physical activity can help combat some of those feelings!

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

    ROFL I just have to laugh because of all the places I have been losing weight, I have not lost one cup size. The boyfriend is of course happy with this lol
