  2. Don't be hating on all the post surgery horny women...that is in your favor I thought the whole thing was hilarious and have a couple more for you to add: 1. Can I eat _______ (fill in the blank) and oh yeah I am driving home from the hospital 2. I haven't lost a pound in two days and I am three weeks post surgery 3. My sister's cousins brother's wife had surgery and regained all their weight...I am unsure why this one bugs me so much.

    Exercise and hunger

    You know it is interesting you say this..I am finding after tough workouts I am not hungry at all. I do try to drink a recovery shake after workouts since I can count proteins and liquids as part of it. I don't know if there is a science or not behind it.

    Just joined Crossfit today

    So I am not sure I chose the right thing..when I got to the box, the guy suggested I start with the Cross Fit Lite class which is not the full Cross Fit and a bit more cardio focused. So I said sure let's try. Now mind you I worked out with my trainer this morning and got to 65 pound deadlifts (yes I am puffing out my chest typing that )..but this Cross Fit Lite class KICKED MY ASS..here is the workout: 800 meter run 40 walking lunges 30 single unders (somehow this meant 120 jump ropes) 20 sit ups 10 burpees 600 meter run Not to mention we did a 400 meter run to "warm up" and then a 2 minute skill drill of pushups. I think I am out of my league lol P.S. I am going back on Tuesday

    Exercise question for the VETS

    I promise..it wasn't meant to be a dig at anyone who is lucky enough to be able to lose weight without exercising! I was more frustrated with how hard I have to work to get the scale to move and having a pity party that day lol. Funny thing is I have come to love my workouts so to each their own!
  7. He could also be worried about hurting you. My crazy boyfriend make me wait 6 weeks because he was convinced it would hurt me. But I also agree with the PTSD comment..sit down with him and talk to him. Don't make it about the sex..seems there is something else going on.

    I have been following this thread and drooling at all that fresh produce. So you have inspired me to do more smoothies myself! This morning I made the following one: 1/3 cup blueberries 1/2 a banana 6 large strawberries 2 cups spinach 1/3 cup greek yogurt 1 cup ice SOOOOOOO Delish!

    I had no idea....

    That WOD's in Crossfit were named after women..my trainer this morning says..we are going to do a Cindy. I just looked at him like he had lost his mind. So he explained they have Girl Names because only a woman can make you feel like that after the workout. I was like wtf sexist! So I did AMRAP of 5 pullups (banded), 10 push ups and 15 squats for 15 minutes..so I don't think it was a full Cindy. He asked me after how I felt..as I laid there in a puddle of my own sweat trying to control my quivering forearms..I said "F CINDY...SHE IS A W*ore!!!" He started laughing and said..I told you so.

  18. Use that picture to fuel you, to motivate you, to remind you why when you start to crave crappy stuff... I don't know when your surgery is, but a couple of months from that date, take another set of pictures and put them side by side..I guarantee if you have worked the program, you will be blow away by the change. We all have body image issues. I was drowning in clothes after I lost 50 pounds but I didn't see that change in the mirror. But the funny thing was once I went and bought a couple of things that fit..THEN I was like..wow I can tell the difference.

    Cooking/Shopping for one?

    I also live alone and have adapted to cooking/shopping for one. One thing that has helped me tremendously is setting out my menu plan for the week before I even go grocery shopping. That way I am not just buying crap that I will never eat. My mom also bought me a foodsaver which is so awesome..because yes I can buy chicken breasts three to a pack but I don't want to eat chicken three times that week. I don't cook or freeze anything..other than chilli, but I have found that knowing my menu and having a foodsaver has helped a ton. Then again I have that planner personality lol. I find a lot of recipies you can adapt for just yourself, just have to do the math!
  20. So I don't know if I am the oddball or what..but my boyfriend and I had a very active sex life before surgery and if it is even possible I want it MORE..MUCH MORE..after surgery. The weight loss is part of it but the thing I love is how much more flexible I am and how we can use different positions and how Tanga panties look on me etc. I will admit that my boyfriend thinks I have lost my ever loving mind and is sometimes afraid to come to my house lol..but I think a lot of this is mental for me, that I want it more because I feel he desires me more. Work on getting that food and calories in and Multivitamins too! I am 5 months out and drink one shake a day to recover from work outs but I get in around 130 grams of Protein and 1,200 calories. I have so much energy!

    I want to be clear, I wasn't accusing anyone of anything. My point was you are perfectly within your right to do whatever you like and create whatever group (public or private) you want. What I was pointing out was why people have the perception that they are being excluded.

    Can I just ask and this is mainly be just stirring the pot..but not everyone in that closed group is AT LEAST a year out. I understand the want for a group where you can post and share your own ideas..but if you only want to keep it to certain people..then own that..don't say it is for people at least a year out when in looking at some of the surgery dates..not all of you are a year out. I am not trying to be argumentative, I am just pointing out where people get the impression that the group doesn't really want new members.
