    Yes! Sugar free products can cause upset stomach and diarrhea if eaten/drunk in excess. I think you are on the right track. Maybe just cut down on some of it and see what happens.

    Yes constipation was a problem for me. I took a stool softener. It still can be a problem and I am 7 months out. I started taking fiber gummies and I love them! I didn't join a gym until I lost my first 20 pounds. I just didn't feel comfortable yet. As far as walking goes, do as much as you can as soon as possible. Movement will help in many, many areas.

  4. I am a true believer in listening to my body. It might take some time to figure out what your body is saying. If you are hungry, then I think you should eat. I am supposed to eat 5-6 meals a day. That breaks down to 2 snacks and 3 meals, but my meals/snacks tend to be the same caloric amount anyways. I think you will find a difference when you move on from soft foods and onto dense foods. I don't think you will feel as hungry, but if you do there is probably someone on this site who went through the same thing and can give you helpful words.
  5. Don't forget your water and your protein shakes. I think that will help get you through. You can probably always find soup or chili while you are there though.

    7 months out 6 days a week-1 hr of medium to intense cardio 3-4 days a week 60 minutes weight training (1 day a week with personal trainer) alternating arm, leg, circuit training On days I don't work I try to do 2 sessions of cardio...one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon (my trainer says it will help speed up the metabolism) When I feel I can I "run" a mile...my knee was hurting for a couple weeks so backed off on it, but I'm back to it. I stretch for about 20 minutes every time I workout after a warm up. This has really been helping with my running and even the way I walk. My hip flexors are extremely tight and have been for years, but I'm working on it. My shoulders also roll forward. It has just been years of no stretching, sitting, etc.

    Yes, I take it. It works pretty well at giving you extra energy for pushing you through extra tough workouts or trying to workout harder. In the beginning it did make my stomach sore, but I pushed through it and I'm fine now. It's good to build your tolerance slowly. I don't take it on days when I'm just doing cardio. I only take it on days I really want to push myself. It definitely helps performance levels, but I wouldn't depend on it to get you through your workouts. Sometimes I feel a little more irritable during the day after taking it in the morning for example. Not all the time, but it happens.
  10. I agree from research. I'm currently sporting some Brooks. I absolutely love them. The most comfortable pair I've ever owned. I haven't tried mizunos yet.

    Awesome. I had a similar experience at a water park a few months back. I think one of the most hurtful things about being over weight is not being able too do things with your children. I have a 3 year old and now I can't wait to take her to Disney world.

    I agree...there are judgemental people on this site. There are also friendly, shy, religious, open-minded, adventurous, demanding, dictating people on this site. Thus is life. What one may deem judgemental another may see as being opinionated. Some of those soft on the inside people may not be soft, but weak and need a swift kick in the re@r. Some people appreciate the harsher tones and some do not. So many different personalities coming together...not everyone will be happy, but everyone has his or her own story to tell that could help someone out. Saying something so vague is not really all that helpful without examples. I think that is one of the foundation blocks of a debate/argument...is having evidence to back it up. Otherwise, it is just pointing fingers and saying you do this or that (reminds me of how my husband fights...grrr). As someone else has mentioned, I don't know if you can "rant about members" so I don't know if you can give specific examples. In that case, I don't know what the point of this thread is. I guess if you see something as judgemental in a thread...respond in that thread to what he or she is saying. If that doesn't work...ignore is also an option if this person is consistently being judgemental in your perception.

    Non believers

    I like the whole non-label idea. That is sort of where I stand. Sometimes I avoid talking about "religious" things because I don't have it nailed down to exactly what I believe and some people take that to mean either you don't believe in anything or you are open to being preached to. My husband is a die hard atheist...he gets offended when someone says, "god bless you" when he sneezes. I grew up in the church from the time I was a baby. My mom went to bible school and teaches, both my grandfathers were ministers, my grandmother was a minister...it goes on and on. In fact, I can count on one hand how many people I know who do not believe in one omnipotent power. I am an extremely open minded individual (well I like to think so anyway) who is not phased by many things. I may not have labeled what I believe, but I do know that I am strong enough in my non-belief where I can not be persuaded to crossover into the believer realm. I believe that as long as you strive to be a good person than you are doing what you can. It is as simple as that for me. Of course, my perception of a "good person" may be different than others, but that is okay by me because it is my belief and no body else's. I believe those that have extreme faith (in whatever...it could be yourself) do not have to try and convert others. I believe that some people need organized religion. It does provide many benefits for those looking to fulfill certain aspects of his or her life. Others find answers elsewhere. There are answers everywhere. You are right! Just because one doesn't have faith in god doesn't mean he or she doesn't have faith. I have faith in myself. Some people give thanks to god for his weight loss and give praise to him. I have faith in myself that I put the work in to get my results.

    i tend to go towards my protein shakes. My staples tend to be some sort of greek yogurt, steak, and salmon.

    Whats ur favorite Starbucks drink after surgery

    I usually get a short, one pump mocha. Sometimes with whip and sometimes without. The mocha is the lowest in sugar for the syrups without going sugar free. I don't care for the sf syrup options at sb. It's about 130 calories. I don't really try to make it low cal or low sugar. It has carbs and protein to balance it out and it usually China as a snack. It's made with 2% milk which is fine by me. The short size is perfect. It's a treat for me and my day can handle the calorie load.
