    I hate this surgery.

    I didn't say I was 'wrong'. I just said I was a bit harsh.

    I hate this surgery.

Sometimes tough love can be good but maybe I was a bit harsh. However, your initial post was all negative, negative, negative, which can become a bit hard to take when you are battling this yourself and trying to stay positive. I apologize and I hope you will forgive me and I will forgive your ignorant comment about my country and those who live here.

    I hate this surgery.

I am totally amazed at how many people have this surgery and then whinge and whine about it. Didn't you do your homework? Didn't you do it so you couldn't eat so much food anymore and lose weight. Get some maturity and strength and embrace the decision you made. Maybe you can't eat so much anymore but you might live long enough to see your children grow up. Look at your priorities and see that food is not at the top of the list.

    Attention ! Australian Sleevers

I think you look lovely. I have 3 daughters who are all slim and healthy and they look just like you in their swimsuits. Your hair will thicken up soon enough. After having glandular fever everyone takes quite a while to get on top of things again. Perhaps you could just tell people that you are not in the market for negative comments but compliments will be gratefully accepted.

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

Sleeved November 14 and have lost 40 pounds. Been in a stall for nearly 2 weeks! Frustrating, but I am staying on track and looking forward to seeing the scales move again.

    5 Confessions (Join In)

Is that your before or after pic. You look great! And no matter how you look there is no excuse for anyone to treat you badly.
  7. Tandem skydiving (without my kids knowing). I've always wanted to do it but when my kids were little I worried that if something happened I wouldn't be there to bring them up. Now they are grown up and apparently at 55 I need their permission. Oh yes, I really want to get on the back of my partner's Ducatti again. Haven't been able to do that for 10 years. Can't wait!!!!!!!

    any November sleevers?

Surgery Nov 14 and have lost 40 pounds. S/W 235. I was going really well last week with eating but struggling this week. I mostly eat Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, smoked salmon, eggs. I really struggle with chicken and haven't dared to try meat yet. Drinking is fine so after the week I have had I am thinking about going back to the protein shakes for a while. Chewing really well but struggling. Lots of vomitting.
  9. I'm not doubting these stories but I am 7 weeks out now and if I have one bite more than my sleeve can hold I spend 30 mins in the bathroom throwing up. How do they do it?
  10. I agree with you, I am sure that having a leak is extremely bad and those who get one suffer a lot. My surgeon told me there was a likelihood I would die if I got a leak. I had to think about the surgery for 18 months after that but still decided to go ahead. All I was trying to say was that I think the reasons you get leaks are being misrepresented by some people. Most leaks occur in the first 4 days after surgery when most people are still struggling to drink Water let alone eat a steak. The only way you can 100% ensure that you don't get a leak is not to have this surgery.

    Would you do it again?

Just wondering? Did everyone's surgeons tell about the risks of this surgery? The first time I went to my surgeon he told me that 3 people in 100 would get a leak. That if I got a leak I would be extremely ill and possibly die. He also explained that 1 person in 100 would die whilst having this surgery. Prior to surgery I had to sign a form to say I had been explained all the risks. This is law in Australia. Is it that way it is in America. There just seems to be a lot of people on here who just didn't realize that there were risks involved with this surgery.
  12. My Nut said diet soda/sparkling water is fine to have if you can tolerate it.

    Where Is Everyone From?

    Melbourne, Australia.
  14. I had my surgery on 11/14 and have lost 38 pounds. My SW was 235. I have felt regret at times but have also felt pleased with my decision at other times. Today I took my dog to the beach for a play and far in the distance he noticed another dog and took off. I took off after him. After about 30 seconds I thought, omg, I am running! Not only am I running but I don't feel like I am going to die. I was totally elated! I suddenly felt like a normal person and the feeling was great. I think something like this had to happen for me to be sure that I made the right decision and I truly believe that these moments of awakening makes us realize that it was all worthwhile.

    *pain* muscles spasm Idk

I was sleeved Nov 14 and had that pain up until a week ago. Don't do any lifting for a bit. Mifne has completely gone now. I asked my surgeon and he said it was muscle pain from the surgery.

I'm in Australia and you can get them at pharmacies but I believe they are also available on Amazon and other sites online.

    constipation

Maybe you are just not drinking enough. I would think that if you soak the seeds overnight they have already absorbed all the fluid they are going to, so that should not be the cause of your dehydration.
  19. I agree, all I am saying is, make sure the words come from people who have been through the experience rather than those with secondhand stories to tell.
