I went to Walmart...got the Vanilla Whey (I'll check the exact name). It is on my approved list and is $16. It is much better than the Fuzzy Navel- YUCK...I hated it. I'm still not getting all I should in, but it is getting better.

12/19. Went back for my follow up, Dr. Said I've lost a little more than normal at this time. I feel it's because I am a little bigger. Down 36

Have any of you been hospitalized for dehydration? I feel like I'm going to pass out. I also think I'm coming down with the flu. Surgery 12-19.

I believe so. Ill look for the number. I'm three hours away from my Dr. So I never think to call.

12/19/12 down 35 (18 was pre-op). I was doing awesome, but I have had three deaths in my family since 12/22...funerals (Christmas eve...I also fell at this funeral...my knee went into my largest incision...one New Years Eve...and one will be Friday-passed On New Years Day). I haven't been getting in all my protein and water since Im always on the road or at families. As soon as the last funeral is over...and I'm home on a normal routine again I am stepping things back up. These things happen, I'm just doing the best I can until my normal life resumes.

You will do awesome....just walk a lot as soon as you can from recovery.

I'm in the hospital tonight. Gas pain is the worst...so bAd I couldn't sip. Walk all you can and have a great person there to rub your back. The actual stomach pain isn't so bad.

How is everyone doing on pre-op? Today is my 7th day...it is much easier now then before. I have to work harder to get ALL the drinks down...I'm on New Direction Weight Control System packets along with sf jello, popsicles etc. I'm so worried...I was in a situation where someone brought food for me to eat surprisingly (they, along with most everyone else doesn't know I'm having the surgery). I had a very very small bite of what they brought so it seemed that I ate. I really hope those two - three small bites don't cause my surgery to be postponed....thoughts? Think it will be ok? It was back on day 3 or 4. Other than that I think I'm doing pretty good, getting in lots of water-that seems to be key in loosing the weight...9 lbs down this week!

I'm scheduled for December 19th...starting pre-op tomorrow! How many days did your doctors say you would be in the hospital? Mine said one night.

I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and have this sinking feeling. I am comfortable with the fact that I now have strict guidelines to follow for my own good, but I keep thinking what one last food should I have today?? Did anyone else have this issue or did you just not worry with it? What food did you have as your last hooray...I know that sounds horrible, but honestly we all have a favorite food that we have to leave behind with our old lives.

I ended up catching a virus today so I haven't had anything but an orange. Funny how things work themselves out.
