  4. Hi, I'm 8 days post op and was wondering the same thing. I started walking ( just about 5 houses down and back) 4 days post op, and am only about 10 houses down now. I have yet to really feel like getting out or running short errands with my husband. I think I'm going to try, though, today. Maybe just to the post office and back. When did everyone feel most themselves, and were out and about and driving without issues? I know everyone is different, but an idea?? Sent from my iPhone using VST

  13. yep, 3 weeks full liquid diet. "All liquids must be very thin. It must be able to flow through a strainer easily"...says to avoid Jello, pudding, yogurt, mashed potatoes, cooked cereals etc these 1st 3 weeks...Day 22-42=soft foods...or me... enjoy your blended chili!!
  14. Mine was 11/27...when I walk, my belly feels real "tight", like I can't completely stand up straight...more pain on left side, where the stomach came out. I'm just now having less lower back and hip pain...still there, but has let up some. !st thing in the morning is worse, or the 1st attempt at rolling over in bed. I think this is all normal. I'm up and down a lot, preparing the next liquid to sip on for the next hour or so. If it is gas, you (or least I can) almost feel it move across from one side to the other side, right under the boobies...lol GasX strips does work! If you would have told me Tuesday that I would be able to pull myself out of bed, I would have shot you. But I have to say, each day is a tad bit better...just a tad, but noticeable. I'm just going to keep on keeping on...!!
  15. hahaha! I can't wait!! woo hoo!
  16. yaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!! I bet you figure it out! lol...when you do, let me know...but I still have at least 16 days thin to go...I think? (3 weeks, I was told).
  17. hmmmm, by the time I get my "breakfast" protein finished, it's "lunch"...and well right now I'm 1/2 finished with the "dinner" one (16oz each)....this evening will be a miraLAX coctail, lol! That's 55 ounces of liquid a day...that's cool, right? oh, and none are my favorite...just tolerable...hope it's okay, that my protiens are going in sippery slow...
  18. Indigo said it best! buuuuuutttttttt....if ya need a kick...consider yourself kicked..lol! This is a great site! I'm only 5 days post-op, but this site is the best thing ever....I love it! So come back and see us more often!

  22. Not huge, none are...luckily was able to discontinue quite a few meds...but not blood pressure, and I take mood pill and sleep pill...told to crush crus crush.... I think crushing the blood pressure one is absorbing wacky or whatnot and affecting my vision... does that make sense? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  23. ... It seems I'm the only one out there that is having to crush meds... Sent from my iPhone using VST
  24. I'm 5 days post op...pre op I was taking blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma meds. Upon discharge, the Dr. wrote a new script for my Diovan (blood pressure) excluding the Water pill part of it, and was adamant that I crush it to a powder. Well I'm skipping it today, seems after I take it my eyes blur Sent from my iPhone using VST
