HELP! I need a good excuse!

People travel hundreds if not thousands of miles within days of surgery. I understand that you don't want to go- I get it. But- just realize that it's very possible this could end a friendship. I traveled 5 days after surgery with my surgeons blessing. I just don't understand your reasoning and that's ok. I'm a stay at home mom of 3 kids- I am on my feet running around 18 hours a day. You do what you have to do.
  2. Checking in! I was 197.0 this morning! 17lbs to goal and 6 weeks to get there. I got this .

HELP! I need a good excuse!

My fiances best friend got married 2 weeks after surgery. I went to the wedding AND rehearsal dinner. I danced and I had a kick ass time. I was tired at the end of the night, but it was so worth it to see such close friends start their new life together!

    ____ years old and never...

My parents were big into the love beyond your means craze of the 80's and 90's. I watched things fall apart financially for them and swore I wouldn't let that happen to me. I got a job when I turned 14- worked almost full time and had enough cash to get a 'typical' first car. My grandpa (a product of the greatest generation and the depression) was so proud of me for saving my money he put the rest of the money down to buy me a new version of the car I was looking at. I 'paid myself' a car payment every month and at 22 bought another car- cash. I'm still driving that car and I will admit it's not the coolest or most functional car at this point as far as room goes- I'm driving it until it dies . My ex was another live above your means type and ultimately it was one of the main issues that started the road to divorce with us. Now- fiancé and I are in a position where we need more space house wise- we have 3 kids and a German shepherd living in an awkwardly laid out 1500 sq foot house. So- we are looking at an upgrade and because we see eye to eye financially- we are able to put down a pretty substantial down payment and will actually be saving quite a bit of money every month all while living in a much larger home. And we can start planning out next kiddo. Sorry- my rant is over. So no- I'm not some crazy person that doesn't drive or lives in my car. I just didn't want to let myself go crazy and wind up in the same position as my parents. I figure the generation before my parents knew a thing or two back then

I have paid cash for every car I have owned. I also. I got married young and my ex had a house- so- I moved in with him. Currently- I'm living with my fiancé. We are in the process of buying another house so I will actually have something there.

I'm 27. I have never been thin. I was freaking born at 9lbs. I have always been the fat friend. That **** is changing right now. I'm actually smaller than 1 friend now. It's such a strange feeling! I until this time last year had never been happy in a relationship. Non weight related- but I have never had a car payment, mortgage or rent! My credit is almost non-existent! I have to rock tankinis- most bathing suits don't fit well when you are 4'11 and have a 30 inch inseam- seriously I have NO torso. I have never worn smaller than a size 12. I went from kids sizes to a 12.

I definitely wouldn't say you are slow. I started at 248 and I'm at 198 now. I also had the flu for a week and I could barely eat. So- no- I do not think you are slow at all!

Haha that's awesome! My cousins husband grew up in the house before it was a restaurant. He swears it's haunted. And I'm friends with the original owners daughter

    Low bmi at goal

My doc gave me 130 as well- I'm 4'11.5". I have a rather large body frame for being so short. I'm rather muscular as well. I was 135 in high school with very little excess fat- I know it was 20% or less. I doubt I will have that much muscle now- so I'm going with 130.

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

Sleeved 11/13 Start weight: 248 Current weight: 198 I've gone from a tight size 20 to a 14- and even bought a 12 in a dress today! Super excited!

    Shorties...

I hate going by what others have lost! I feel like I don't add up or maybe I've done more than others. It's a weird feeling. I did have a TOTAL NSV today. I had to go buy a new dress for dinner tonight since all of mine were too big. Well- I bought a new dress and it is a wait for it- size 12! What?! This girl in a 12!!! Woo hoo!

    Valentines Day Challenge!

.2lbs up this week. Dang TOM.

    How do i be thin?

The other 10 would be in my boobs.... It's killing me!
  20. Yay!!!! I'm about to have to go buy more jeans- I started at a very tight 20 and now my 16's are getting saggy. I also have to find a dress for dinner this weekend- my go to that I bought a few weeks after surgery is WAY too big.
  21. It was about that same time for me as well. After being very diligent with everything. I was up 1.2lbs. I've done it a few times now. I don't sweat it much- the scale is still going in the right direction 90% of the time! Congrats on your loss!
  22. When I first started looking- I was sitting at a 39.9 BMI. I actually found out I was pregnant while at the surgeons office (they ran lab work and bam). I held off 2 years- and trust me- I wouldn't change my little dude for the world- but in almost 3 years I wound up with a 50 BMI. All because of my stubbornness. I would do it in a second.

    New and ANNOYED

If your deduct is $1500- will there be any other co-insurance you will owe- I.e- 90/10 or 80/20? Also factor in the company's for all the visits- it adds up quickly. I was incredibly lucky in that my insurance paid 100% and I have only been responsible for my co-pays at the surgeons office.

    Sleeve complications!

My dad had a bout with c. Diff this past summer. It's not something to play with. It had him hospitalized for 2 weeks. I'm glad you were able to keep some juice down!!
