  2. Today i reached my first goal "Onderland" and i feel wonderful!!! I am optimistic, happy and thankful... Surgery Day Nov, 7th 2012: 230 LB November 7 230.3 November 27 206.0 November 30 202.8 December 4 198.4 I am 27 days post surgery and i am doing wonderful as to losing weight... But i am still having issues like Gas pains and feeling full after only one bite and eating only once or twice a day. I asked my doctor about protein supplements he said i dont need them nor i need vitamin I did buy my own vitamin pills but the pill is huge and cant be crushed since its gel so there is no way i will take them... I hope i dont hit any stalls any time soon i still have a long way to go but am celebrating my loss so far^_^
  3. We were all in your shoes at one point... I still get nervous and question myself even though am post op, but am 100% sure no doubt that it is the best thing that i have ever done, and i hope you will feel the same way also after your surgery <3
  4. Week two was mushy food for me, and now three weeks later i can eat anything my stomach tolerates (which isn't a lot lmao)
  5. I was sleeved on Nov 7th and started soft foods about one week after surgery (my doctor said it was ok) but yesterday i felt like i can eat more than ever also, took almost 800 calories in and felt like crying at the end of the day because of how hungry i have been... But i was advised to talk to my doctor about an acid reflux medicine which i will do so tomorrow to see if that will help with the hunger and overeating

  11. I searched this topic and nothing came up, so i thought i can make a thread and maybe someone can answer my question. I was married five month ago, and when i had the surgery it didn't occur to me to ask about pregnancy until after i was sleeved. My question might have came too late. I asked my doctor if i can get pregnant and he said am not allowed at least until the first year. WHY NOT? I dont mind waiting a year before i get pregnant but what happens if i accidentally get pregnant? will i lose the baby? My husband and i dont mind waiting and are doing our best and have all the precautions to not get pregnant. BUT i am sure that everyone have heard about becoming pregnant while on pills or other forms of prevention! This fact scares me. I am too young to be a mom, i can wait. but am worried i cant avoid gods will, accidents happen... if i got pregnant do i have to consider abortion?
  12. ISB, thank you for your post, but the thing is, i can explain eating so little, but the gas pains that i have after and all the burping i wont be able to explain

Good luck to everyone, you guys are wonderful and ur posts makes it all easier <3 thank you for being here and listening.
  14. Lmao, i do get frustrated at times, but you gave me hope of it going away!!! thank you hun <3
  15. This thread is for me to vent while am shedding tears... Last night some friends invited themselves to sleep over, my husband and i welcomed them and spent the night laughing and joking together. But my laughs turned out into tears of sadness when we woke up this morning and realized that i have to make Breakfast for my husband and them. the whole breakfast was dairy (three types of cheese, yogurt) and some Beans along with vegetables .. With bread and tea. And since my surgery was a secret between me my husband and our parents no one knows i did it and no one would understand why am full after the first bite... I didn't sit on the table with them, one reason is that i wont be able to eat more than one bite and they will start questioning me and second is the gas pains i feel after and sometimes i burp by mistake and i would be embarrassed if i did something like that in front of people ( they wont understand) ... instead i went and washed the dishes to keep my mind busy but that didn't work i was tearing up while washing the dishes... Its not the amount of food i miss, i just miss being able to eat and not feel gas pains after, i miss eating what everyone is eating... Now they finished eating while am typing this and i have to go clean the table and wash the dishes again... Oh well couple more tears wont hurt!! My husband came in a min ago and tried making it better for me... He feels like its his fault ITS NOT and i know but it still hurts!! gotta go wash the dishes now! Good day every one!
  16. Thank you for the advice but my according to my doctor's plan iam allowed to start introducing new foods to my diet two weeks post op!
  17. I know i should but this guilt i have after every bite of something is killing me, hopefully ill do better with time, still new at this! As for Protein Shakes my doctor and nut didnt even mention them! i went looking for some here (am currently overseas temporarily) but cant seen to find any of those! Will keep looking. Thank u for the advice and good luck!!
  18. Good Morning everyone! I am 16 days out, and havent weighed myself for a week now because i was told to PUT THE scale AWAY, lmao ( not weighing myself has made me less depressed more positive)... Anyhow, yesterday i cooked some meat&pasta with tomato sauce/broth for my husband and i wanted to test how my body reacts to food now. I ate about a 1/4 a cup of Pasta with the broth (only about two strings of pasta with some meat) and ate using a baby spoon chewing as much as i can.. well i expected some discomfort but nothing more than a bit of gas/burping that i have been experiencing since post surgery after i put anything in my mouth... (Anyone else has experiences something like this too?). I am proud i can tolerate real food but on the downside i only eat once a day, and sometimes i remember to eat 2 times, but when i eat twice a day i feel guilty and i feel like i ate more than i should and i fall into depression ( I want to lose weight... working on that )
