Attention ! Australian Sleevers
This is an easy site to navigate. I was thinking more creating a social group on here. That way there can be a few threads for different subjects?

Attention ! Australian Sleevers
Hey do you think we should start an Australian VSG group? I think it might be better than using the one thread because you can have different topics, is that right? I'm thinking it might help down the track if people are trying to look things up. Deano

Sleeve Then Flu Now Struggling.
What a terrible time to get the flu! I was sleeved on the 7th, the day after you. What diet has your Dr got you on? I'd probably be checking with them and looking to maybe go back on pureed diet for a time? Good luck and take it easy, Deano

Drinking Fluids
One week out I was the same. I just made sure I didn't 'gulp' and just too small sips.

Snack Struggles
Load up on more good vegetables for dinner, and after I guess if you're really hungry. As for the dry cereal - I'd really avoid the carbs, especially at night / evening. I stuck to my pre op diet pretty well, and there were some real 'hungry times'. Mentally I just stuck with the thought that it's only for such a short time (as opposed to trying to lose a massive amount). Stay hydrated too! Good luck, Deano

Attention ! Australian Sleevers
Guys - I'm about 17 days post op and things seem to be going really well. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes I feel a little light headed (I wouldn't go as far to say dizzy) if I stand up quickly. Do you think it's a blood pressure thing, or is it normal with the very low calorie intake? My blood pressure has always been perfect and I've never felt light headed pre surgery. Hope your all having a good weekend, I'm working Deano

Vitamin Help
I'm 16 days post op. At this stage it's looking like I only have to take a daily multi vitamin, but I think everyone is different.

So, My Critical Mother.....
One thing I know for sure is that we aren't responsible for how other people feel in reaction to us trying to be better, healthy people. They own their own feelings and thoughts. You should never put yourself down to make someone else feel better, no matter who it is.

Two Weeks Out!
Hey - we had surgery on the same day. Congratulations! I think you need to try and eat more frequently. We're hammering our metabolism already, no need to make it slower by infrequent eating. Today I had Breakfast - 1 egg scrambled Mid morn - Cappucino with 90mls of milk lunch - 70g savoury mince and a few slices of carrot well cooked Mid afternoon - Protien shake dinner - Same as lunch! I'm sure you'll be really happy on weigh day. All the best, Dean

So, My Critical Mother.....
Most people don't like change. Unfortunately sometimes they're the friends and family we love. Take strength from the people who support you. I think for some parents as well, they know that they may have had a hand in their childs unhealthy relationship with food and they're weight problem. Maybe minimising the problem is out of guilt, for some.

Mourning Coffee..why No Cafeine?
I'm 16 days post op. I have a mid morning coffee, a single shot of espresso with about 90mls of milk. I've been told (for me) it's not a problem as long as I stay hydrated.
