  1. I was sleeved 10/10/12... I lost 149 pounds and need another 60 pounds to be at MY goal. Slow and steady wins the race.
  2. I am 6 months out and I still have issues. I only go once a week and when I do its first hard to go then its like waterfalls. Very frustrating especially when at work. I hope it ends soon can't wait to be regular. But still grateful for the weight loss.
  3. Sorry.. just seeing this. He and his team were awesome. I had some set backs with dehydration but overall I am glad I went to him. Two of my friends went to him as well and had no problems.
  4. Sleeved 10/10/12 HW- 461 SW- 435 (approx) CW - 335
  5. You're not the only one... I am down 120 pounds and still have thunder thighs... I don't see what everyone says they see. Hopefully I will soon.

I am 3 months out and I go back and forth with loose and then the absolute opposite. It's quite annoying... I have to stay near a rest room cause sometimes there's no warning. I believe they call them sharts. I hope this passes soon... Not good at all. Good luck with your sleeve!
  7. I had Dr Ahmad from Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson.
  8. I was sleeved in October and I still get light headed. I had my blood pressure meds reduced and my protein intake was low. I just tried the protein shake again today and so far it stayed down. So I am hopeful to have more energy as I drink them daily. Good luck and feel better!
  9. Eggs don't agree with me... They usually come back up by the end of the day.
  10. Congrats... You're an inspiration.
  11. October 10th here... Not so good. I am so weak from no protein... I have tried some but my taste buds have changed. Gonna keep trying maybe go back to Chobani yogurt... Frustrated
  12. I haven't been out much cause I was just sleeved in October but I have not nor intend to lie. It is what it is... Whatever way you choose to lose weight takes determination and strength I say no matter how you lose you still win.
  13. Everything in moderation... Competitive eaters also use water to expand their stomachs as well. (I am married to one).
  14. Hi....I am new and just need to vent... I was sleeved 10/10 and after two bites I am full and can't get the protein in without getting nauseous. I am very weak and am hopeful this will pass. Frustrating!

I am only 6 weeks out and have some of the same issues with the taste buds and sense of smell. I am hoping it will get better. It actually isn't as bad as it was. My doctor has assured me it will get back to normal in time. So I guess it will get better in time. Hang in there.
  16. Hi... I had the sleeve on Oct 10th. I had the same situation. Vomiting, dry heaving, thick saliva. It caused me to dehydrate and was back in the hospital for 3days. I stopped the protein drinks and all dairy. After that I felt much better. I was told sometimes after surgery you can become lactose intolerant. Hope you feel better and best wishes in your WL journey
  17. I am so grateful for this page. I had the sleeve on 10/10 and have not yet returned to work. I had to go back into the hospital for nausea and throwing up. I believe I developed lactose intolerance and couldn't and still can't keep the protein drinks down. I am glad to see I am not alone with some issues. I started to have soft eggs and trying to get protein that way. On the bright side I have lost 50 pounds and just a little weak after 5weeks out. Everyone says it gets better. I believe it will.
