I had lost the same if not a few lbs more at the 3 month mark and had a lighter starting weight. How tall are you? I do have age on my side but for a male you arent loosing too fast or too slow ... just right. Embrace it buddy!!

    "Less" to lose?

My BMI was 39 when I had surgery. I have lost over 80lbs in 5 months. Just over 20lbs to go If I was you I wouldnt worry about rate of loss though! Your body pretty much dictates how much and when.

    9 months post op today

Where are you on the BMI scale? Maybe your where your body wants to be? I dont think you look too skinny - you look great
  10. I am 5 months out and down over 80lbs. I've had 2 pretty painful gallbladder attacks just recently (one on thursday evening one on sat evening). I am assuming my gallbladder yet to discuss with my surgeon. Symptoms are an incredibly sharp stabbing pain below my chest above my ribcage in the middle making me feel nauseous and throw up and lasting between 1-3 hours. Really tender to touch if I press on the spot where the pain is coming from. Afterwards I feel absolutely fine. Is this GB? I realise most of u arent qualified to give medical advice but i guess i want some reassurance. I would hate to go through another surgery but I also would hate to live in fear of where and when next attack will be ... whats the chances I will have to have my gallbladder out? and is there non-surgical options? until I get an appt with surgeon is there anything I can do to avoid another attack or relieve symptoms in the meantime? Thanks in advance!

    Gallbladder attacks

Cool thanks all for your responses - not what I wanted to hear though! will be speaking to surgeon today - thankgod I come from a country with free healthcare! Is there any chance with changes in diet or exercise that the problem could be resolved without surgery? The one common thing that brought on both attacks is roast chicken .... both in evening around 8pm. will let you know how I get on x
  14. Out of all the meats - steak agrees with me the most. I was eating it 6 weeks out. I think its the lapband where people struggle with it.
  15. And no I dont respect someone who makes smart arse remarks about the country I am from ... over it now .... happy easter everyone.
  16. I'll say it again ... I AM a high BMI'er!!
  17. Who am I being cruel to? I was talking about my personal experience with a BMI over 40. When you have over 100lbs to lose of course you will some degree of loose skin. I guess I just wish I had dealt with my weight sooner.
