    Gastric sleeve in NZ?

I really hope its not because he makes profit off gallstone ops too ... makes me wonder when he wasnt that interested in taking it out when he found out I didnt have med insurance and would have to go through public health system. Just one conspiracy theory - he never mentioned that it was a side effect of the surgery to me. Wish I was a wee bit more informed. I will quiz him next month when I go for my 9 month check up. But yes totally happy with where I am at - and feeling so much better loving shopping! Only people who know is mum dad partner and a few close friends. I may tell people when I'm done but who knows. I def will always be an advocate for the sleeve and will be open with anyone struggling with weight. Hows the skin bouncing back and scars looking for you?

I was sleeved in November also! On the 6th. Great job on losing 39 kilos! How many more till you within a normal weight range? Things are going great with me - really happy I bit the bullet and decided to do it. I'm down 46kgs and just 3 more to go and I'm done - bought size 10 jeans for the first time ever the other day!! Were you self pay?

    Party advice

I keep under my recommended calorie intake every day (800-1000) so the occassional "treat day" for me actually does metabolism some good! I say enjoy the party and don't stress about it - just jump back on the wagon the next day! Works for me and never stalled! (8 months out).

  8. Exactly the same as before for me except I sober up quicker. (7 1/2 months out). It used to take me ages to finish a drink but from 6ish months out its now the same as pre-op.

You look great!! I would def flaunt it if I were you And mum of 3?!!! Thanks for sharing your pics! How far are u from goal? And what is your exercise/toning plan currently?
  16. Agree with above poster different doctors say different things. Mine says soda is fine after 3 months out - and its actually written in my nutrition plan to shake out the fizz if u have problems with the gas. I personally dont feel the need to drink it anymore but I dont see the diet version being a massive problem to be honest. I personally have not cut any food out of my diet - everything in moderation

    Realalistic goal

Aim for a "normal" BMI to begin with and then adjust your goal to how you look and feel? I dont believe there are limits to the sleeve ... you've just got to work at it, and the harder it will be closer you get to goal At 5"9 I am aiming for 165lbs (first goal) - roughly 15lbs to go! It doesnt matter if it takes me a year to get there, I'm still gonna do it!
  18. I do - but I mainly concentrate on strength training to tighten up - I'm nearly at goal so thats the next step for me! I started strength training at 3 months post-op
