  2. I am out post op 6 weeks everything is normal BUT I am getting dizzy spells every day I feel like someone sucked all energy from me It happens couple of times a day I even fell a couple of times but luckily I was not hurt. I went to my surgeon they diagnosed that my sleeve was too tight in the middle they fixed it with balloon but I am still feeling the same way I have been taking all my medicines on time got my blood work done which came normal my surgeon is very confused they checked me for dehydration but tests came normal a couple of times I had to pull over so that I can close my eyes and sleep.Once I feel weak I close my eyes and go to sleep for any where from 45 mins to 2 hrs while I have my spell I can't even move no strength at all and then wake up normal. Please help.

I was like that and still am some days. My surgery was 11/14/12. Your body is healing so make sure your getting enough rest at night and my nutritionist said one nap a day ( if you can ) You had major surgery it will take awhile to get your energy back. Be patient you will adapt, the more food you introduce.

  3. I don't generally eat unhealthy but I find myself eating more and more often....one of my biggest problems is cheese...string cheese' date=' mozerella etc. I used to struggle to eat a whole chicken thigh at dinner, now I'll down 6-7 buffalo wings! It's almost as if I never had the surgery![/quote']

Try not to eat more then 3 times a day- no grazing, meals shouldn't last longer then 30 minutes. Try to measure food- I hope this helps! Oh and exercise!

  4. I was sleeved on 6/25/12 and lost about 50 pounds. (247-197)....in the past 2 to 3 months' date=' I have seriously backslid to the point where I'm now about 215 and I find that i'm eating nearly the portions I ate before my surgery. It seems everything is going down the tubes here and I'm not sure what to do. Motivation is near zero and total failure seems right around the corner! Has anyone experienced this? If so, how can this trend be reversed? Help please!!!!![/quote']

My surgery was 11/14/12 and I had my 3 month check at the surgeons last week. I admitted to struggling and eating poorly and not exercising. My surgeon reminded me that I risked dying to change those habits! That I must be proactive at stopping these behaviors! He reminded me that this surgery is a tool! If change doesn't come from you the weight will come right back! We must choose to buy healthy foods, keep junk out! We must treat exercise as medication that needs taken daily! Without it we will die, who we want to be will happen if we take the first step! Don't look back! No guilt move forward!

  5. I was sleeved on November 29th and I've only lost 40 lbs. I was 228 in my day of surgery and I'm at 188 today. I feel like I'm losing at snail pace. I'd really like to get to my first goal of 150 by May 1 but I don't see that happening. My ultimate goal is 135-145.

40 pounds is great! For all the dieting I have done in the past I have never lost 40 in the first 3 months! ( I was feeling kind of behind myself until I put that in my mind) We will get there, stay positive:)

  6. On the 7th I decided to treat myself to a weigh in. I made the choice not to weigh myself except at nut appts and surgeon appts and each month on my surgery date. Well on happy proud and jumping for joy because in 3 months I'm down 60 lbs and could not be happier!!!

    How's everyone else doing???

That's great! On the 14th it was 3 months for me also, down 40lbs! My surgery day weight was 229. I have 22 lbs to lose to be at my surgeons target weight for me.... However I am shooting for the ideal body weight, 136! So my first goal is the target weight!

  7. My surgery was 11-14-12, when I went in for my first post op appointment my surgeon was disappointed that I hadn't lost more... But then he realized the % of body weight was right on target. We all have different situations the # of lbs isn't telling the whole story! I personally have been trying to over come my "old" self- bad habits! I have come here to try to get motivated to continue with the change.... The surgery is only the beginning of this new life. I pray you find the support you need!

  8. Hello, I hope everyone is doing much better then I . I have been slipping terribly, no exercising... Not drinking enough fluids, eating enough Protein or Vitamins. I have eaten some fried food and even a chocolate bar, the entire thing two different times, and I didn't get sick at all! I wish I had so it would be easier to avoid that stuff:(. I am only 2 and a half months out and I have fallen off the wagon and fell on the ditch!

  9. I hope all the Nov 14th sleevers had a great Christmas! Did anyone have a difficult time over the holidays?

Christmas was definantly better then Thanksgiving, haha...no really it was! I had wanted bread so bad (but resisted), and I did eat to the point that I was very uncomfortable...still learning how to feel full. This is such a learning experience. I am actually craving a salad, can't wait to eat a salad! Who would of thought! I love seeing the scale go down, almost under 200! yeah!
