My paperwork was officially submitted to Aetna yesterday, so while I am twiddling my thumbs waiting to hear something (an approval, HOPE-HOPE-HOPE!), please share your Aetna experience!
How long did it take for you to get an answer once your paperwork was submitted?
Has anyone with a high BMI and co-morbidities been denied? If so, why?
Do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro? <g>

I just came out of lurking today, too! I also used to live in Huntsville, so I'm very familiar with the woodlands. I'm self pay, and will probably sch this week for sometime in December. Would love to stay in touch.
There is a section called stickies where there is list of stuff you need to take to the hospital...might be under faqs

Count me in, Sistas! I turned 58 on Valentine's Day. I am one week out. Other than finding that I am suddenly lonely, I feel great. I actually had no serious surgical pain. --just a wicked backache. I can't help too much with the menapause questions as I had a hysterectomy when I was 40. I kept my ovaries though, so I did get to enjoy all of the lovely hot flashes. They seemed to have calmed their hot little heads this past winter. I hope they stay calmed.
I just found this group. I am ever so happy that I did.
