How long does it take to Show
I was 247 before liquid diet. 237 on the day of surgery (5//6) and now I'm 225. I'm becoming obsessed with the scale! I'm thinking of asking my husband to hide it for a while. Good luck on your continued success, you're doing great!

Week 3 Post Op- Difficult for me
Surrender control! Re-read all of the info your surgeon and nut have given you. Do everything they tell you, and I think you'll be just fine! Good luck, I know you have it in you.

Laying flat to sleep
i'm ten days post-op, and sleeping is getting better, but still uncomfortable.

getting close!
I was so nervous too. All the way to the hospital, Iwas trying to think of reasons to RUN! But, now almost two weeks later, I'm lad I went through with the surgery. Try and keep yourself busy. Good luck, you'll do great!!

Really depressed
a therapist will be able to help you get through all this. I'm no professional, but maybe you should scale back the amount of time you spend with the ex. That relationship might be doing more harm than good.

Pain related to Surgery
you'll likely get a patient controlled pain relief in the hospital through yor iv. after i left the hospital, i took a liquid tylenol a few times, and that was all for pain. it's not too bad. Besides, that stuff only last such a short period of time.

liquid diet
It's rough, but I'm glad that part is over! Good luck on your surgery.

Isopure omg!
that stuff is horrible (and i'm not picky)! I bought a whole case from gnc just after my vsg, tried two, and had my husband return the rest. I got my protein from unjury checken soup and unjury unflavored powder put in beef broth. good luck!

Why do we develop food intolerances after surgery?
I'm still afraid of my sleeve, I don't want to try anything!

3 days out and in minor pain
I was sleeved 05/06 and the first four days were pretty rough for me. I even told someone I wish I hadn't done this to myself. But, now two weeks out, things are better and I feel better about my decision to have the surgery. I also felt a lot better just being home and in my own space! You'll pull through this, hang in there - we'll do it together!

Wife is Upset
Your wife is not really mad at you, she's scared! The quote about the divorce rate says a lot right there. Do whatever you can to reassure her about your love/devotion, and about the surgery. Get her involved in dieting and excersing too. Tell her you need her help. This happens with a lot of spouses. Buy her some flowers and let her know how important she is and that will never change.

Am I going to die ... ?
in my post surgical info, it said to call my surgeon rightaway if i should swallow gum during the first six weeks. That sound scary enough for me not to touch the stuff. So, even if you're not in pain, still let your doc know asap. good luch!

Question
That's a tough spot to be in. However, if you think you're doing good on you own, feel free to tell HIM when you want your surgery (not the other way around). Everything should happen on your time so you don't feel like your doctor is rushing you or you're making a life long decision and not being completely ready for it. I was sleeved 05/06 and was crazy nervous. The night before I was searching the internet trying to find a good reason not to have the surgery the next day. So far, so good with no regrets. Good luck to you!

Is the sleeve for me?!
My mother had the Rxy WLS and she was experiencing the dumping syndrome. She feels flu sick if she eats sugar. So when I started researching the different types of surgery, I chose the sleeve because it is only restrictive and it does not rearrange my intestines. I was sleeved six days ago, and I'm not going to lie to you, the first few days were really hard for me, but each day gets better and better. Ultimately it's only a decision you can make. I wish you all the luck in the world!!
