  1. I've never been to any of these burger joints! We have five guys but I've never tried it.. I had part of a low carb burger at carls jr. a couple of months ago... Great for constipation
  2. Lol my son hates eating mushrooms but about 3 years ago he wanted to be an mycologist when he grew up and today he was feeling nostalgic for mushroom identification (notice the notebook and pencil) lol he's an nerd
  3. Ok I'll peruse the forums and see if I can dig something up... But in the meantime a shameless plug of my family hike and mushroom hunt
  4. I used to eat mayonnaise sandwiches
  5. Lol I've been hiking all day and you guys are still talking food??? Did nobody say anything ridiculous today??
  6. I went through the hating the compliments stage.. I think part of hating them was embarrassment... I lied to myself about being super fat and also lied to myself that people didn't noticed I was super fat! What?? I didn't expertly disguise it enough with clothes and sparking personality??? Shit! I'm over it now and when they make comments or complements I agree and thank them
  7. Oh yes! I've seen it a lot here, in just the scenario I posted about above. It's all about perspective.. A 60+ BMI would love to be a 40 and so on and so fourth. We all did this to improve upon ourselves... That improvement is a relative..
  8. You know I said that to me husband once...
  9. I think it takes getting used to for all of us really.. Back in the day WLS was reserved for super morbidity obese people. I mean it is a radical step right? Then it became more main stream and those of us that are just morbidly obese started having the surgery.... And bigger people were like wtf? Now it's becoming so common that people in the low 30's BMI are doing it and us 40 BMI peeps were going wtf??
  10. Well was it one of those old pomegranates or a new modern one with good seeds?? The new ones are meant to be pooped out.. Girl don't you keep up with the advancements of fruit growing???
  11. You do know you'll be pooping out big seeds now....
  12. Yes I have a good friend that is significantly larger than me get flabbergasted when I told her I was having WLS! The fact of the matter though is at a 40 BMI I was MORBIDLY obese...
  13. Well since gumbo is the topic du jour.. Why not a big sack of that?
  14. So does that mean we go back to talking about food?? Just what the enabling food addiction thread needs food porn!! Ok well deep fried turkey and gumbo it is.
  15. Dude, your memory already sucks! My name is Laura But really there are some minor side affects with any WLS, memory loss is one I wouldn't worry about, In the beginning I was fuzzy but it was from my body adjusting from eating like a cow to eating a very restricted amount.
  16. Lol guys when I see old bananas the only thing I see is banana bread! Sad but true... Globe,I'm sorry you feel ignored and missing your pa.. I unfortunately know how hard that is too. As for the other thread? I know what you were talking about, whenever I tell newbies that are proclaiming "I will never diet again and will eat every crappy thing I ever ate, but in moderation" You are new your views will evolve with time. I get a new asshole ripped As for that person., you are right she doesn't care for you, we all have one or two haters (or in my case multiple) let it go explain and stand by your comment if need be and smile that always drives them crazy! I get along with her for the most part BUT i have gone toe to toe with her also if I feel strongly about something M2G! Nice to see you! And yes I've got triple the posts now I hope it's fixed soon.
  17. Yes regain is a reality with ALL forms of WLS.. We are sneaky, sometimes addicted creatures and can find ways around anything to get our "fix"
  18. Did you explain that he was just in pain from trying to poop out his staples.... When you explain these things to the uneducated you open their eyes to the amazing advancements in dog excrement!!
  19. I was just demonstrating that I still possess my charming some would say witty character.. Still thinking quick on my feet with the snappy comebacks
  20. Wait we are supposed to have memory loss??? I don't remember being told that!! -Laura (I think)
  21. You guys are going to be in trouble if that chick ever comes back here
  22. Lol was it ever a debate?? I tell you that sh*ts funny (and a little pokey)
  23. Notice how we are all sleevers also? well expect that one wacky bypass chick It must be a side affect we weren't told about, short attention spans and we sh*t staples
  24. Girl if you want a beer, drink a beer, we aren't going to stop you..
