I'm wondering if you should ask the surgeon also about scoping you to make sure you don't have a stricture or maybe esophageal spasms because of gerd, acid reflux??

A lot of times at 3 to 4 weeks out there are pains in that area from the internal sutures healing/dissolving.. This might be what you are feeling, but I think it's always best to hear this from your surgeon. I would put in a call.

I would guess if he started you now, you will be on it until surgery. People typically do the pre op diet up until their surgery date.

Coops, I am nowhere close to goal, but I know what you mean! I'm having a hard time shopping. I think I'm so used to having things baggy and comfortably hiding the things that need to be hidden. That when something "fits" it feels tight or constricting.. You said you can tell on other people if something fits right. Next time you are in a fitting room perhaps look at yourself as a stranger what do you think of her in that outfit? I know that's a pretty stupid answer but its all I have
