Protein bars are best not eaten until you are cleared for all foods... -

Babe, No lecture here.. I've had those days too. We are are own worse critics sometimes. I have 30? Pounds till goal yet I just saw vacation pictures of myself and all I saw was the flaws. It's hard to stop playing that "you look" fat loop over and over again. But what I'm really trying to realize with this weight lose is health and sometimes I lose sight of that. Take the time to take stock in how you feel.. I feel more agile (Though I'm terribly uncoordinated ) more a part of life! I will not be looking like a kardashien (spelling) But I will be a better healthier ME. Laura a 47 year old kinda short with some lumps and bumps and the battle scars of life -
No I'm here by SF he lives on the other side of the country... North Carolina.

Foe...definitely foe! They may be good for some people when "real" food is not available, but for a lot of us Protein bars = crack -
You know Cheri, I don't know if its vacation or 5:2 but I've been a little more lax and taking in a bit of a treat every day... I'm still making sure my meals are Protein based but I've not obsessively measured my grams since starting 5:2.. Today for instance I had my morning obsession, yogurt. And some chicken for lunch with a bit of cheese. But my husband and I just took the kids out for Taiwanese milk tea with "tapioca pearls" And I shared one with my husband. Definitely new behavior for me. The part I'm having a hard time consolidating is that I feel on the feed days I'm eating without the tight "control" that I've had. BUT my weight is moving again. so In a way I'm feeling reckless.. I say that because I've said since I've come here I am not capable of moderation. And my head keeps telling me that's true but the scale is telling me yes! Yes you can! OMG that was just a look into Laura's crazy brain! What was your question again???

Glad your finally finding some relief!!! I think if I remember correctly you had a stricture? But not any ole stricture... A pretty bad one. I hope that you can enjoy the rest of your summer and leave the pain and frustration behind -

I think for me being 47 my body is morphing into something different altogether. Its getting smaller but the curves I used to have when I was younger are no more (or I should say they are hanging lower these days) so the best I can hope for is a healthy number and some forgiveness on the actual body make up.. -
Butter and I were talking about this a few weeks ago. He and I still shovel food into our pie holes with lighting speed. It doesn't make us sick. I really think its the luck of the draw...

Oh I NEED my scale! Mirrors are fine and clothes are good. But some clothes stretch a bit (or shrink unexplainably ) and mirrors can lie. That's always how the weight starts creeping back up for me. -
