Well the Costco yogurt wasn't smart... But it sounds like it went right through you! If it where a solid food I would be more concerned about damage. You did not stretch your stomach. Don't look for full right now, you may "feel" it some days early out and you may not feel it others . MEASURE and eat only what you are supposed to. -

Does your doc say 4oz? If so yes, eat that amount. but in the full liquid stage you will not get that feeling of fullness just yet. That comes more into play when you move up to puréed foods ( when your doctor oks it) Do not stuff yourself that can cause a leak at this point, I do not think you have a leak but you shouldn't be eating to extremes right now (or ever at this point on) like finishing off a container of frozen yogurt. -

Calm down, at this point you wouldn't stretch your stomach. Most likely you would cause a leak (but don't freak about that either) If you over stuffed yourself. Your a week out? So you are eating full liquids? You should measure your amounts. DO NOT push it until you feel full, your stomach is still numb and most likely you won't feel much right now, plus the restriction comes into play when you eat more of a dense Protein. You are also a man?? I think your stomach will be slightly bigger than a females also. -
Wow Jane! That was a great visit. Thanks for posting about your conversation. Definitely more insightful than some of my visits. You know I wondered the same thing about the band to sleeve revisions... From reading here it sounds like they sometimes have a harder time losing the weight. Glad yours went well though. Scary stuff about stretching but I believe it. I can even tell by adjusting my food a couple days a week.

Congrats on the year! You look perfect!

I wasn't sure if you really wanted me to look it up or not, but I couldn't find it sorry, but it sounds promising.

That would drive me crazy too! I never thought about that? That's why you were trying to weigh it! Sometimes I can be dumb as a stick

I'm glad you are still going to go through with it. I would hate for you to do the mother guilt thing that so many of us have done! You can't truly know how the sleeve works until you've lived with it for awhile. But it might be good for her to see what it's like for mom. And lol, yes kids move on at lighting speed! "You gotta love em" the center sounds like a good start. I'm glad you are seeking other options and answers. Do they have therapists there I know I keep mentioning cognitive therapy but its really important I think and will go hand in hand with surgery or not.
-
Of course.... Of course....common sense, yes, I wasn't insinuating that you thought the sleeve came with a brain But the surgery does not automatically make your brain change, and we are talking about a child here that has not gone to a nutritionist yet or a therapist that deals in disordered eating.,, It's kinda putting the cart before the horse so to speak. And statistics for the sleeve success rate for losing and keeping it off? Not as rosy as I'd like them to be... To the OP, you said something a few posts back about putting it off once before and you would do it again?? Does that mean that you would not do it if she doesn't?? I hope not because it would be so hard to have two of you recouping at once #1 and you can really pave the way for her and get an idea for what she will be in for afterwards? Is it guilt that you won't do it alone without her?
-
OMG!! I didn't even see this one!!! Helps us make better decisions?? Unless you got a sleeve that jumps out of your stomach and slaps that crap out of your hands, no it doesn't. Yes when your in the first couple of months it's hard to eat anything. But get 6 months out? All bets are off! And quite frankly it's easier to eat junk (slider) foods because they go down so easy and you don't get discomfort from them. So you can easily eat around the sleeve. Yes do check out the vets posts sometime..

That's ok, no need to apologize! But patience and trust the process. you have lost 70 or 80 pounds in 6 months??

I'm not much help because I've never heard of Krogers But I buy plain Greek yogurt and put my own sweetener in it and frozen blueberries. Perhaps you can find a plain regular yogurt and do the same until you get your flavors back? -
I know it sounds weird because I was morbidly obese, but I did not keep that stuff in the house. I think that's part of the reason my children are fit. I am a special kind of fat person. You would never catch me buying anything thing like little Debbie's or ice cream because I was to "embarrassed" of what others might think! Not to say that it never happened once in a while chips or cookies might make their way in by my husband, should he want a rare "treat" for him or the kids. I was a diet coke fiend but never allowed them to drink it.. My daughter would say she couldn't wait till she was 18 so she could buy one! I cooked healthy foods but I stuffed and binged at night alone.. It really is up to the parents to make those shopping and cooking choices. And a good start is stop buying the crap.

Girls the bouncing is on going for me!! June start date.. And it's bouncing all over.. The trend is down but SLOWLY.. I'm up a pound just now to 163 but I started at 171. Last night was hard I wanted mass amounts of food so bad. Not really hunger as much as wanting the comfort of food. I didn't do it but by the time I went to bed I had a Headache and still have it this morning. Regular day today but I'll try to not go crazy
-
Yes by example... This is a post of yours I put up but then took down, I'm putting it up again because I think you are lying to yourself about how hard she has tried, if you eat this way, so does she... Keep the the stuff out of the house!
