  1. I know the feeling! I cheated. I'm not at all recommending it but it didn't do anything to me. Last Saturday 8th day post op' date=' I had about 1/2 a scrambled egg. And for the last couple of days I've been having a few bites of soft potato( boiled or mashed) I'm not on Protein Shakes and find that I'm craving every kind of food imaginable. In fact, I don't even like mashed potato but the idea of putting purée Soup in my mouth again was making me spew![/quote']

  2. I also choose the sleeve after a lot of research, plus I have 2 friends that have had bypass. You need to read everything you can but I felt that it was important to still have my body function the way it was made to and didn't want to deal with dumping syndrome or the malabsorption problems. I also felt it was a safer surgery with less complications and that was really important to me. I don't know your medical history but your doctor must have his reasons. Did he explain why he felt that way to you? I just got my sleeve on the 12th and am very happy so far.

  3. Sleeved on the 12th and I just got home this morning. Surgery went well, very little pain but a lot of nausea. Was expecting to only be there 2 nights but because I couldn't keep anything down had to stay 3. I feeling better today just not sure how I'm gonna get the fluids in. It took me an hour to drink 4 oz of Protein Drink. Problem is I don't feel like drinking but I guess I'll have to force myself.

  4. My surgery is Monday also. Im on the 10 day liquid diet. So far things have been better than I expected as far as not being hungry. Today is the first day Im feeling kind of emotional like I could cry at any time. Im trying to look forward and think about all of the positive changes there will be but I'm anxious about the surgery. I just want it to be tuesday and know that Im alright and ready to start losing weight.
