You need to slow down because when you get to the food stage if you eat to fast it's much worse. I learned the hard way. You will get horrible pain in the chest and then I started sliming and threw up. It really isn't pretty. Just slow way down and when you feel full STOP.

I was sleeved on the 12th. Did 10 day liquid preop and as of today down 30 lbs. I can hardly believe it. I wake up every morning grateful for my sleeve and saying thank God I dont have to be fat anymore!

I hope this makes you feel better. I had my surgery on the 12th at a Bcbs center of excellence and on our diet plan starting week 2 you can have mashed potatoes. You can also have cooked vegetables, Beans, lowfat cheese, eggs, crackers and smoothies made with blenderized fruit.< /p>

I know the feeling! I cheated. I'm not at all recommending it but it didn't do anything to me. Last Saturday 8th day post op' date=' I had about 1/2 a scrambled egg. And for the last couple of days I've been having a few bites of soft potato( boiled or mashed) I'm not on Protein Shakes and find that I'm craving every kind of food imaginable. In fact, I don't even like mashed potato but the idea of putting purée Soup in my mouth again was making me spew![/quote'] -
Im soo glad for you. It took me a year and a half to get my surgery . Long story, but I was sleeved on the 12th and I am so happy to be on this side of it and doing great. Good luck to you.

Congratulations, every victory counts. I was sleeved on Monday and between preop and post op have lost 26 lbs. Today was the 1st day after my shower I felt like I could dry my feet easier! LOL

Hooray for you, that's great. You will have self confidence like never before I bet.

I also choose the sleeve after a lot of research, plus I have 2 friends that have had bypass. You need to read everything you can but I felt that it was important to still have my body function the way it was made to and didn't want to deal with dumping syndrome or the malabsorption problems. I also felt it was a safer surgery with less complications and that was really important to me. I don't know your medical history but your doctor must have his reasons. Did he explain why he felt that way to you? I just got my sleeve on the 12th and am very happy so far.

Last night I was wishing for my hospital bed. Tried to prop myself up on pillows but keep waking up uncomfortable.

I had 10 day liquid preop, no food. V8 juice in small amounts was what saved me. Make sure you are getting enough Protein. I bought plain Protein Powder and mixed it in broth also. I didn't cheat because I was to scared to but it wasn't easy. My surgery was monday and the surgeon said he could tell that I had stuck with it. I figured it would be worth it in the long run. Hang in there.

Sleeved on the 12th and I just got home this morning. Surgery went well, very little pain but a lot of nausea. Was expecting to only be there 2 nights but because I couldn't keep anything down had to stay 3. I feeling better today just not sure how I'm gonna get the fluids in. It took me an hour to drink 4 oz of Protein Drink. Problem is I don't feel like drinking but I guess I'll have to force myself.

I had a friend go there for bypass about 5 yrs ago and she did great also, so that's good to hear. Thanks

My surgery is Monday also. Im on the 10 day liquid diet. So far things have been better than I expected as far as not being hungry. Today is the first day Im feeling kind of emotional like I could cry at any time. Im trying to look forward and think about all of the positive changes there will be but I'm anxious about the surgery. I just want it to be tuesday and know that Im alright and ready to start losing weight.

Still interested.

I found Dr Mercola's website very informative. The Protein Powder sold there sounded a lot heathier to me than most of the others.

Hi, I would be interested as I haven't bought that stuff yet.

Go to a chiropractor. Omg fixed me right away. Pain meds only cover up the problem. Once you get back in alignment the pain goes away.
