I can't wait to be in onederland! It's been 22 years since I was under 200 lbs. I am so close, and yet I keep tottering a few lbs away. I am going to celebrate like there's no tomorrow!

This so funny because that's how I feel! My clothes are dragging and hitting the ground. The blouses that were busting are now so big that I wouldn't think of wearing them in public.

    All of my December sleevers...

I hit my 90 day mark the 5th and I am down 80 lbs. I just started biking and I know I need to get more active. I feel good, but still having some issues with my food intake. It seems I am at the toilet vomiting at least once or twice a day. It wears me out! Some foods I am ok with one time and the next they don't agree with my stomach. I am 5'6 3/4" and my goal weight is 145. I am currently in between size 16 and 14. I was a size 22 about to bust into a 24. I am seeing the loss now when I put on clothes that are falling off that once were tight.
  9. I am a living breathing 78 lbs lost patient of Dr Almanza. I can agree that being in a foreign country was very scary. But I can tell you my sister and I had surgery the same day and both of us are doing very well. My sleeve was completed on Dec 5th and I had to have my esophagus ballooned because it was constricting and the doctor that did my upper GI actually is the best in the States and he said my sleeve was perfect and Dr Almanza did an excellent job! Anywhere you go there can be complications, I would agree with the original poster To educate yourself. When you are here and they are in Mexico you truly are on your own here.

    Frustrated

Hang in there just as msmoya has said maybe God is holding it off for your protection. Years ago I was ok'd to have the roux n y completed and was on the table to have the surgery, and I chickened out at the last min. Now this was a time when they cut you from sternum to pubic bone. I had the iv's in and medicine flowing I just got scared. I really believe that was God telling me No. Years later I was ale to have the sleeve and it was performed in Mexico...who would've thunk it?

I am not straining that's what is strange. My sister asked her doctor and he said that sometimes when people have a BM that their blood pressure lowers if they're straining. That would be an answer if I were. It's crazy!

Sleeved Dec 5th down 78 lbs. I am having an issue that I wondered if anyone else is experiencing. When I have a bowel movement I am getting sick. I am literally grabbing a trash can an heaving. It doesn't happen everytime and I don't have any symptoms prior with an upset stomach.

    All of my December sleevers...

I have hit a few days where there was no weight loss. Mostly because my body is going through so many changes. I have read all of the posts on what people are doing as far as counting this and that. I have to be honest I'm not counting anything. I eat whatever I want and am learning what my sleeve likes and dislikes. I have never taken in more that 600 calories in whatever I have eaten because my sleeve will hold very little. I am down almost 70 lbs since Dec 5th. I worry about losing to fast because of losing muscle mass. Don't get discouraged and don't gorge yourself and you'll be fine. Try eating some foods that are higher in calories but not higher in carbs. You'll see that your body is adjusting to your sleeve. Good luck!
  14. I was self pay in Mexico also, and had complications with my esophagus. My insurance took care of the issue. I am not saying that they would cover everything but they do cover some things.

Good luck to both of you!

I had a problem with my esophagus narrowing and had to have it ballooned to Stretch it out. My doctor said that it happens with gastric surgery patients. I was having chest palpitations and thought I was having a heart attack, I decided to Be safe and go to the hospital. I'm still having the palpitations and I'm told it is esophagitis which will continue to happen. But at least I know what it is now, and am not freaked out thinking I'm having a heart attack. Good news is I am down 68 lbs since Dec 5th.

I am talking about the weight I lost prior and post op. I lost 16 lbs before surgery, so that's 36 lbs post op. I am drinking lots of green tes and I think that is the only thing different I may be doing.
  18. I will be 6 weeks post op tomorrow and I have the same issue. It's followed by vomiting I am in the hospital waiting for tests to be completed. They are going to give me the barium to see if there are any obstructions. I am so over the vomiting that I can't see straight.
