  11. I have noticed the last 2 weeks I can eat more food without getting uncomfortable. does the sleeve stretch out down the road? I'm 8 months post op. I feel restriction but at about 1.5 oz more than the usual.??? Any advice or thoughts from people who are farther along than me would be appreciated. I'm freaking out a little (I dont wanna get fat again ever!). thanks
  12. Yes it was. The first 3 months for me were tuff. I was very tired all the time no energy. My stomach was sore and swelled for the first 2 months.I had gastritis and had to take omaprazole for 8 weeks. As the weeks past and I could get in more protein and calories a day I felt better. It is not easy in the beginning but you will feel normal soon and forget how hard it was in the beginning. The most important thing is water. sip, sip, sip. Keep water close to you at all times. I still have a hard time getting enough water in! Keep up on your protein very important. Get your blood checked too. Take it day by day. Good luck
  13. Thank you so much for your kind words I followed my surgeons rules of 800 calories max a day , 70 Protein , 64 oz Water , Vitamins. I didn't start exercising till around 90 pounds was lost. But I recommend you start exercising as soon as you can. I do have some loose skin and lifting weights has made a big difference. Congrats to you on getting the sleeve !!!
  14. Im gonna be very honest with you because thats what I would want. I do have loose skin not as much as I thought(thank god). I lost the first 90 pounds no exercise. Then when I noticed my arms getting loose skin I forced my self to the gym and started a routine. Each body is different so start exercise early! lifting weights is a great thing to start incorporating in your exercise routine. My arms have transformed from lifting weights. I still have loose skin but they look sculpted and firmer. I do heavy upper body weight lifting 3 days a week and lower body weight lifting 2 days a week. Cardio after the lifting. Ive lost 113 pounds as of today and have 25 more to go. Not sure how my skin will look when I get there. Start exercising early on make it a habit , a part of your new life. Good luck (THE STRONGEST FACTOR FOR SUCCESS IS SELF ESTEEM: BELIEVING YOU CAN DO IT,BELIEVING YOU DESERVE IT,BELIEVING YOU WILL GET IT! )
  15. whats your goal? how tall are you?
  16. I just started noticing last couple days that I can eat a little more than usual. Its not allot but its more than the usual. has anyone else noticed this?
  17. I am now 175 and have increased my calories from 800 to 1000. I exercise 5 days a week for and hour. Eat Protein first that's what will get you full.If you get hungry again eat cheese stick or cottage cheese. Make sure you dont have heart burn because that can give you the sensation of hunger. Also if you are dehydrated you will mistake that for hunger too. Drink a big glass of Water when you feel hungry but shouldnt be. I have allot of steak , chicken salads . I usually eat whatever is available but in portions. drink 64 oz water a day it makes a big difference. Make sure you get in enough protein and take your Vitamins.Good luck and thank you for the sweet comment
  18. Ive been bruising allot too I think its low potassium levels. I follow my potassium level using myfitnesspal. Try to incorporate more high potassium foods. White navy beans ,greens, vegetables, and muscle milk has allot of potassium in it 1000 in a bottle you need 3500 a day.
  19. I've been getting the'' stop losing weight, don't lose no more weight your gonna look sick'' comments allot lately. I still have 27 pounds that I want to lose.My husband thinks 27 is too much. I wanna be in single digit pants size Im a 10 now. It can get to my head though but usually It makes me giggle inside when people say it to me because Ive been a Fatty all my life. My distant family were very open and obnoxious about how fat I was and how I need to lose weight and that how my husbands gonna cheat ect ect feels awesome to hear it from them because I know I look awesome but need a little more to look even more awesome heheheeee As everyone else said in the above comments do what makes you happy and feel healthy(and to piss relatives off lol ). Congrats on all the weight loss keep up the good work
  20. The turkish get up looks insane Im gonna try it tomorrow at the gym
  21. Im afraid of this happening to me. I start school on the 3rd and my 3 children do too. I am planning on preparing my meals the day before and having allot of muscle milk on hand. Tupper wear is gonna be another thing that will help you/me be prepared with meals and a good lunch bag that stays cool for a long time. Hang in there and plan your meals before hand
  22. Im 8 months post op Monday/Wednesday/Friday: upper body heavy weight lifting for 30 minutes, 10 minutes treadmill inclined,10 minutes stair master, 10 minutes elliptical. Tuesday/Thursday: lower body: intense lower body exercises 40 minutes(squats, pile squats, lunges, dead lift, leg press, high kicks, knee highs), 20 minutes cardio (elliptical, treadmill , stair master). I try my best to exercise 5 days a week. Ive been doing well and think Im building muscle because the scale is going up. Only complaint is that Exercise makes me intensely hungry when I dont exercise I can go all day without eating.
  23. I usually feel like that when Im dehydrated. It can also be low iron levels, potassium and low sugar. Try to drink something sweet like juice or fruit punch. hope you feel better. I Think this is a part of vsg. every once in a while I feel like this, so I start to look at my potassium intake, water, vitamins protein iron and carbs. Hope you get better.
