  2. Hello AMber, I had my surgery in Mexico with Dr.Guillermo Alvarez. I found him through researching docs in mexico. He has a facebook account were I saw over 100 patients before and after pics and he has allot of videos on youtube. Endobariatrics.com is his website. I paid 8700 + air fair 475. I live in Michigan. They sent me all the information via email and I spoke with Susan the corrdinator on the phone.I sent them a down payment of 1000 throuhg the bank and the rest I took with me as a cashiers check. I spent the 2 nights in the hospital and one in the hotel then flew home. I'm currently 6 weeks out and doing great . I have lost a total of 41 lb already and 25 and a half inches all over. Good luck on finding the right Doc for you

  5. I use a chewable gummi one a day multi vitamin daily , 1 calcium plus vitamin d chewy chocolate flavored. They both taste good, 28 g iron that I open up and put into appla sauce. I read that your not suppose to take them all at once together ,but to separate them by a few hours(I do that). Hope this helps
  6. Thank you sooooo much everyone I really appreaciate all the help I believe it is the iron and having very low carbs. Its great to have this website with awesome people that are going through the same thing I am
  7. Ok I take a multivitamin everyday and calcium with vit D , Proetin is usually between 45-70
  8. Im looking for some helpful advice, I'm having a hard time with fatigue, I'm not excersicing yet because im exausted. my daily intake is 800 calories. I'm very weak, I'm dizzy and overall have no energy, is there any foods I should look into, or should I increase my calorie intake, in order to have more energy to exercise. I'm 6 weeks out , and try to get all my fluids in that seems to be difficult because I have to separate my food from liquid. any help will be appreciated.

  12. Dr.Guillermo Alvarez In mexico Im 5 wks out and lost 40Lbs already Very happy:) I love him
  13. My highest weight was 300lb , I'm 5'7 ,before the pre op diet I was 288 , day of surgery 276 , today 250 lbs 5wks out. I cant wait to be in ONEderland
  14. You are not suppose to weigh your self daily your weight will fluctuate from day to day, only weigh once a week. You may be retaining water dont think about it your fine
  15. this is one of the signs of a leak, if it is higher than what is normal I would call your doctor. Other signs include fever abdominal pain. Hope its not good luck to you
  16. I did the same thing, but as they say I wish I knew then what I know now, Pre op I thought I would never enjoy food again today at 5 weeks I eat what ever I want the main difference is bite size and quantity I gained 12 pounds on my food funeral!!! The feelings are normal try not to go over board like I did
  17. Dear John, I went through this also. It was painfull. The trutth of the matter is that you will be able to eat anything you want again the main difference is the quantity and your bite size. Before this surgery I could eat about 7 slices of pizza , at 5 weeks post op I can eat only 1 without the crust . Dont get down about it the time will pass and you will be able to enjoy the foods you love. My only caution is that when you can dont make it a everyday thing. Good luck and hang in there Mariam
  18. Were high heels and not feel like big foot walking around in them
  19. Same thing happened to me . I was on the ground at the grocery store and ambulance took me to the ER had all the tests done came back DEHYDARTION,you need 64 oz of water a day ,I got a 20 oz bottle and drink 3 a daay. It gets boring so mix it up crystal light, powerade, what ever keeps you going. Alcohol dehydrates your body so limit that. Good luck hope it nothing serious
  20. I noticed that when I didnt drink enough Water I was hungrey all the time wanting to nibble hear and there. So, my advice would be drink lots of water and take an antiacid which may also cause the sensation of hunger Good luck
  21. I felt the same for the first 3 weeks post op now im doing better. To actually enjoy food I take tiny bites so I feel I have eaten allot and it takes longer so I can sit with family members and be done eating when they are and still consume a small amount. I dont know if this help but I hope you feel better good luck at the therapist.
