  7. its sooo nice to see you again! (NOT) So, I am about 10 days before surgery date and I cannot keep these crazy thoughts out of my head. I have been advised to stop all medication except for a multivitamin, and that includes stopping my anxiety medication. I feel like my anxiety and head is all over the place with crazy thoughts of the good and the bad 'could happens' of surgery... Am I making the right decisions? Am I loosing enough weight pre-op? Will the surgeon say no if I do not loose enough weight? (No # was given) What if there are complications? Will I be able to take care of my son and house after surgery? (I will only have support for maybe a day or two) What will life after surgery be like? Just all of these thoughts swirling in my head...I am hoping that this is normal, and I am not the only one going through all of these thoughts. I am going to call tomorrow to discuss being on my anxiety meds until surgery, and if not, other options... -anxious mess!
  8. That sounds good, do you have a recipe?
  9. Great! Thanks again for the website and feedback.
  10. I would have an honest conversation with them regarding your previous weight loss attempts and ask for their advice. If they are not on board, then I would advise 'interviewing' and searching for another PCP who is more receptive to your journey and/or who has experience with bariatrics. In the beginning of my journey, my PCP was NOT on board. I've brought him much documentation and had several conversations with him about it over my 1.5 year prior to seriously considering the surgery. Once I had opened that door, and finally decided, I asked him straight up if he was on board with helping me throughout this journey, and in my care after surgery. He said yes, and ended up signing the papers. I will note that he is an older gentleman, and is a little 'old school' in his medicinal practices. Which is ok by me! I just had to show him that I'd done my homework and tried my best. Hope that helps and good luck in your appt.
  11. Thank you for this!!! Do you know if she is making the 'cupcake meals' in regular cupcake pan, or mini cupcake pans? I didn't see that anywhere? Thanks for another great site!
  12. I also got bumped to Dec 5th, Jacksonville, FL here! I don't have a FB though. Hopefully we can keep in touch through here, and become sleeve buddies?
  13. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!
  14. Congrats, and hope you have a safe and speedy recovery.
  15. My clinic also went by the BMI from the initial visit.
  16. Thank you! My date got bumped though, I am now Dec 5 instead of Nov 28th. I think that this is probably common, that maybe something was overlooked or maybe a wrong code (aka cpt medical code for the procedure). Still praying for you! I belive this will work out! *Fingers crossed*
  17. I got my answer and have heard within 5 business days
