  1. I remember about 4 weeks out when I was allowed to eat a little more I went crazy for a couple of days. Then reeled it in got back to basics (3 shakes a day sensible dinner) and then proceeded to loose 35 lb over the next 2 months. It just goes to show we can all fall off the wagon, its whether or not you get back on track that matters. My slippery slope seems to be a giant drop off cliff!

i think this is the hardest thing mentally i have ever had to do.. i scared im gonna fail and the sleeve wont work...

  2. Sometimes it takes a while for your efforts to show up on the scale, you are losing inches and your body takes time to adjust. I understand about the stress eating, I used to do it myself, also if I was just bored. Now I have to go find something else to do besides eat. I lose slowly but it is coming off, we just have to be patient and work through the process.Good luck to you!

so glad i saw this i want the weight to fall off but the scale is not showing anything.

  3. So last night my leg was aching so bad, I was terrified I had a blood clot. I'm 5 and a half months out and just wondering how long we have to worry about that. And does anyone know if we can take aspirin ?

my doc told me a month after surgery is how long u should worry about blood clot but i would call your doc if your still worried.

  4. I'm 7 months out and I can eat at least a cup of food at each meal. Anyone else able to eat that much? I'm still worried I've stretched my sleeve.

    Grrr.

my doc and the nut said u cant not stretch your sleeve out the only way is to eat nonstop on junk food and he said some days u will be able to eat more than other because your stomach is more relaxed than others.hope that helps

  5. I'm 10 days post op and I'm eating mushies. My stomach is rumbling and grumbling everything I swallow or i guess the food goes down almost like my tummy is growling. Does this ever stop? Has anyone else had this happen? When will that tightness in between my breast stop as I'm eating? My dr says that's the top of my new narrow stomach. Thanks in advance all.

    Signed Nervous Nelly

the tightness happen when i eat to fast still learning how to slow down when i eat.

  6. I was sleeved on August 1st, everything is going well. Weight is coming off and everything. But I have one concern. When I do simple tasks such as cleaning the kitchen (at a slow pace) I get short winded. One day the room started spinning. I knew immediately that if I didn't sit down I was going to pass out. I was standing in line at the store yesterday and I was starting to feel like I couldn't breath but I was still breathing normally. I'm very active and this is not normal at all to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?

yes i had that a couple days after surgery the nurse said mu oxygen level was low i needed to take deep breaths it was hard because i was still sore just sit down and try to take big deep breaths.

  7. I am 6 weeks out and every time I eat, I get a 'hungry' feeling afterwards? Is this maybe gasses in my tummy instead? I am definitely not one of those who lost the hunger hormone :(. I am the type of person who could live without eating if I didn't feel hungry....food just isn't that huge of a deal for me (especially now) but I seem to feel hungry all of the time. If I get full (and I do) it doesn't last long. I am eating Protein and trying to drink my shakes and my Water but trying to figure all of that out is a pain in the butt. Anyway, I'm down almost 30 pounds and I'm happy, I just want to stop feeling hungry!

thank god not the only one i feel the same way i think alot of it is in our head

  8. I am definitely struggling with "head hunger" and true hunger today. I'm on clears until Tuesday, and I think I'd feel better if I was able to have something with any significant calories. I'm weak, exhausted, and can't stop thinking about food. I'm worried about how I will handle my two young sons on Monday (my first day on my own again). Are these emotions normal? I'm very edgy and emotional right now, and would give anything for a little bit of milk, Protein shake, or Soup (not broth!!).

It's an "alone" feeling right now. I don't know anyone I can talk to about these emotions, so I'm hoping someone here has been through this! Thanks for reading this whining. I am irritated with myself! :)

oh my lord u are not alone im all most 3 weeks post op and i still think about food no as much but some time its hard cause were so use to eating what ever and when ever we didnt get this way over night so it will take a little time for our new life u can do it and it will get better were all here if u need to vent good luck
