  1. If I get in 300, it's a good day.
  2. I wasn't criticizing anyone's food choices, mashed potatoes are also on my approved list, I'm just scared and was expressing that. I feel overwhelmed by the rules and all of the bad consequences and was just in awe at how brave some of you are being. Certainly didn't mean any offense.
  3. I too am struggling with protein because the shakes are just too sweet. I'm going to order some unflavored unjury as well.
  4. Good to know cog burn, because I was wondering about fruit too
  5. Gosh I want to cheat soooo bad, but I'm terrified my pouch will leak or something and I'll have major complications. I'm 8 days post op
  6. I don't find it simple at all. For example, I'm not to ingest anything with 5g or more (per serving) of fat or sugar. Yet I'm allowed to mix my shakes with 1% milk.... Which has 11g of sugar per serving.
  7. I don't see how you folks eat anything without being terrified of dumping. I'm afraid to eat anything... Anything! (Can't for another week anyways) like cheese and mashed potatoes... I'm thinking "OMG I'll dump and diiiiie!!!!!!!"
  8. Oh I wish I could take a warm bath, sounds heavenly for my back. Can't for another week due to the glue used on my incisions.
  9. I went home next day as well. Pain in shoulders is the gas they pumped you up with... Lasts till about day 5.
  10. Simply southern, I had that day yesterday. Cried most of the day wondering why I'd done this to myself. Why did I get so fat in the first place? Why do some people have it so easy with their weight? I just threw my little pity party and then today woke up with a better attitude. It's okay to have buyers remorse. That's normal and you are not alone in it. Take a day to be mad at the world and hate your decision, just make sure that you move on the next day... Or hour... Just make sure to move on.
  11. All my diet plan says is "high protein liquid diet" and it talks about two shakes a day and then additional zero cal liquids. I know this is a bad idea, but damnit I want something I can taste!
  12. I'm going through the same thing and docs are threatening to re admit me if I can't hydrate on my own. The key is to sip all day long. It really is easier said than done, but you don't want to end up in the hospital. Mix your shakes with Water (rather than skim milk) and that will count towards your Fluid. They say aim for 64 oz a day, but I'm only getting between 30-40. Good luck dear. This too shall pass.
  13. Tomorrow will be 1 week since surgery and of course I'm on a two week liquid diet. Just found out my husband's work party is tonight and we are going to Long Horn Steakhouse!!!! There's no possible way for me to feel normal there tonight, is there? Any pointers?
  14. There is absolutely no way I could get that in one meal. It's taking me 4 hours to finish an 8 oz shake right now.
  15. I could've sworn I saw people on here talking about drinking it. So I bought some. Got home and double checked the label and its 7g of sugar per serving. Is there a different g2 that I don't know about?
  16. Good luck to all of you tomorrow!
  17. You should be fine with the lortab.
  18. Which shashimi has the mildest flavor? I'm usually a roll/nigiri girl... but know I'll have to skip the rice for now. What do y'all recommend?
  19. We haven't been brave enough to try yet, but we will be doing condoms... it's what we've always done when we weren't 'trying'. The doctor wants us to do a backup form of BC too though... like spermicide or something. I don't know about all of that.
  20. I generally dream about food. I'm a loser like that. At least I can eat in my dreams.
  21. So I'm supposed to get in 2 shakes + 64oz of fluids a day. Right now I'm getting in 2 shakes + 40oz of fluids. That isn't absolutely terrible is it? I've tried so hard to get in the last 24oz and I just can't do it yet. I'm 4 days post op.
  22. Oh gosh sashimi sounds so good right now. I have to do liquids for 3 weeks post op.
  23. I've had diarrhea since surgery, so no poop fears here. Just called my surgeon because I have a low grade fever, elevated heart rate, and heart palpitations. This is some what normal for me after a major trauma, my body always spazzes out. He wants me to come in, in the morning for an EKG. He thinks I'm fine though.
  24. I'm worried I'm not doing enough. I'm sleeping a lot and concentrating on fluids and protein. I try to get up and walk around the house every couple of hours, but I really only feel like laying around. I'm only 48 hrs out from surgery so surely its okay to take some time to heal rather than walking laps around the neighborhood, right?
  25. Oh and simply southern, I have the shakes really bad too, it's how my body reacts to stress and trauma.
