I do relate!! I live drinks and have a home mad coffee that is sugar free every day. I don't really like to eat because I'm just not hungry. Oh well.

My fat days were so self destructive and now I don't even come close! I look back at what I used to do to myself and my poor body and it's very upsetting. When I am down now I have permission to:
Cry
Nap
Journal
Take a bath
Turn off my phone
Watch trash reality tv
Play with my dog
These things never crossed my kind before because I was trapped not only by food but also by my head. Remember that feelings are not facts!!

Such a wonderful share!! This surgery is a gift isn't it?

Thanks!! I was stalled for a bit but I am back in the game baby!!

I know that many sleevers are not fans of plain Water and I fall into that category too. Yesterday my boyfriend introduced my to Crazy Water which is a brand of alkalinated water.
Mom problem drinking this like when I try to drink regular water and I think it really helps any excess acid even though I am on a ppi.
Just wanted to share!!

I am in my surgical residency and took one week off. I have a lot of research to do and I was foggy for the first few days. sleep was my best friend. My memory was not the best.

You know that Old Navy has a lot of cute cheap stuff. It's always good for weekend and work items!

I was just like you. I think I drank most of what I consumed at your stage. I finally tried some very tender chili with quite a bit of liquid. That gave me the courage to start taking in bits of meat. As soon as I got maybe two tablespoons down in one sitting the next time I ate more.
Take you time and listen to your body. Stay hydrated!!

I went for a Drs appt yesterday and told him that I hadn't had a BM in three weeks. I am four and a half weeks out. He recommended milk of magnesia. Let me tell you this stuff is hell
On wheels! I haven't heard anyone else say anything like this though!? I was on the pot for ten hours and got so dehydrated I had to go I the ER.
I feel like I have been hit by a Mac truck. Can anyone relate?

I started mushy foods this week and I can tolerate eating pretty much anything I have tried. My problem is that I'm having trouble finding time when I am hungry and willing to I without fluids for my surgeons guidelines around a meal. Of course at three and a half weeks out I only eat a tablespoon or two for a meal so when I think about eating it isn't even worth it.
How long did it take for people to get this straightened out?

I understand. The first week was a combination of medication, good mourning and cabin fever combined with being sick o a liquid diet. Remember that for anyone needing WLS our natural state is to eat when we are uncomfortable. Right now that is certainly not an option. For the first time you will have to find something else to do with your feelings.
For me at least this is why diets never worked and the weight never stayed off. Who wanted to actually deal with life. I can assure you that physically you will feel better eventually. Everyone heals at their own pace so that will be for your body to decide but try and make things nice for yourself.
Try journaling, going online like this, calling people, napping or other stuff. People h e posted lots of great ideas on this site.
Take care.

I had the same problem! I told my doc that I was light headed and tired prior to eating anything off plan and he said that I could eat two low carb meals a day. I am now three weeks out and about 22 lbs down. I am having an easy time staying on the diet guidelines and I feel really good. My surgery went really well and I am healing fine.
Good luck to you!!

I had surgery on 12/10 and am going to be on full
liquids until next Friday. This is just how my doc progresses his patients. Today I had two 18 oz bottles of Water with sugar free Arnold Palmer mix, one Protein shake made with Water and milk, a bowl of Tomato Soup, a bowl of purée French onion Soup, and a Surg free peppermint hot cocoa that I make at home.
Dang that's a lot of fluid!! Lol

I'm going through this right now. Life feels like too much but I'm not able to really feel anything when I act like this. I just replaced food with wine. Before it was shopping. I have been to therapy for years and years and have been on enough medication to kill an elephant.
I swear that there is some bottomless pit inside of me and the only cure is to reach out and stop isolating!! When I close up shop it only gets worse.
