  1. By the way....I just posted that because I'm struggling! I was a former Laplander and lost all of my weight ...over 110lbs....I k ow how it feels to be a goal and was there for 4 years until my slip last year. I gained 80lbs back in a year! It's been slow loosing but hard to look at myself and see a difference because I know what being at goal looks like.... Slow loosing is loosing but it's been tough for me:) I really love my sleeve though......happy sleever here!!!!!!!!

  2. I had the band in 2004 and lost over 100lbs. My band slipped in 2012 and I gained 80 back in a year. I was sleeved on 11/14 in a 1 step procedure and have only lost 10lbs. I feel like I waisted my money and I'm really regretting my decision. I'm always hungry but following the diet at 100%. I just do t get it....it's very depressing...thankful that my band was taken out because I had so many issues with it but feeling terrible about spending so much money with no results.

  3. Okay ladies....I'm having a very hard time with this. I'm following the eating plan to the T and my results are minimal. In fact I gained 6lbs in 4 days!!! I enter everything in MFP and I'm eating 500-600 calories per day. This is so depressing. Was this revision worth it? I spent a lot of money and nothing! I lost 20lbs and gained 6 of it back this week? WHY?? I just don't know what to do.......I'm truly regretting this decision. Don't want to sound whiney....but I just had to let it out!

  4. I'm having coffee for the first time today....yes, it's caffeinated ....I'm a middle school teacher, its Friday, I'm dragging, the kids are going crazyyyyy!!!!! I hope I do t regret this later in the day.....has anyone drank coffee and had problems? And I'm down 18lbs as of today! I'm excited,,,,it's slow but the scale is moving and that's all I need it to do at this point :)

  5. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op & still feel nauseous pretty much everyday. I am trying to find a food that feels ok. Im so depressed thinking Ive done something to mess this up already. But with the small amount of food Ive been able to eat' date=' surely I haven't messed it up. Im trying to exercise but my stomach is still so weak & sore too. I've lost 20-22 lbs...in the first 2 weeks but I think that was the fact that the first 2 days all i did was drink Water & sleep and because Ive had no soda or Starbucks.

My throat feels like it is closing up when I eat....and Im doing my tiny bites. But i can feel everything going down. And then my stomach will hurt. Im very frustrated.[/quote']

This sound exactly like me....when will the nausea end? Can anyone offer suggestions? PLEASE :) and what is "the patch"? Is it something I can purchase?

  6. Wow you were able to return to work that soon?? You haven't had any problems since then.

Yes, I was able to work full days with no problems. I'm a middle school teacher so I was able to sit and take breaks throughout the day. I haven't taken a sick days yet.....things have been good!

  7. 13 days post op and im down 14 pounds. I have hit a HUGE wall this week though ' date=' im SO DANG TIRED

    Anyone else ?[/quote']

Yes...soooo tired. After work, I'm running to my bed and I'm OUT!!! I'm drinking about 90grams of Protein and everything I eat makes me have nausea so I'm just sticking to shakes...booooo lol. I went to the gym and walked for 60min and actually had some increased energy. I'll be doing that 4-5 times a week now

  8. Im new to the site im glad I found this forum.I love all races also' date=' but im curious to know how do African American Sleevers do after surgery.I have a surg datr for Jan 7, 2013 im so scared & anxious all together![/quote']

Hello :) my operation was on 11/14 and I was back to work by the 20th. I'm doing well and had a great recovery. I had some nausea for a few days but it was go e by day 3. My best advice is to walk, walk, and walk immediately following the procedure. Also, be sure to drink Anouilh Water to avoid dehydration. I was sooooo nervous and was boo hoo'ing all the way into the operating room. I woke up with mi iMac pain and couldn't believe that it was done. You'll be great......and congrats

  9. I was on the 14th and was on mushies for thanksgiving. I feel like I was a me to eat a lot. I'm used to having my band and feeling restriction but I was able to get a cup of mashed potatoes, string Beans, and yams all without no problem. I stopped myself but was looking for restriction. I'm so afraid that something is wrong. I'm looking for a nutritionist for some help next week. :(
