Thank you guys for the kind words
  3. Ok I haven't been on here for a few months. Since probably December. I've lost 45 since surgery, but have a total loss if 80lbs. I was worried about not losing enough after surgery(I'm currently 215 started at 294). My doctor at my 3 month check up said it was awesome. He said "l'm not worried about numbers, I'm worried about healthy habits." My triglycerides have improved to normal, which was my only comorbidity other than the weight itself. I hope everyone else is gaining the same success. I do mess up and have bad days generally towards my period (oh, my pcos has improved as well having a 28 day cycle). But I know I try to do well but I do have my days. I don't give up like I use to. I keep going! I'd upload pictures but I don't know how.

I'm addicted to breads and sugars mostly avoid them post surgery.....but I have my slips. Its ok don't be afraid, be proactive avoid and keep it out of the house. Good luck.
  5. There were a lot of lap band converts in my group, a lot! And my doctors are preferring to do sleeve on most patients they calculated what my weight loss would be between RYN and sleeve. It was a 17lb difference. I think because they make more money from RYN she could be pushing that. But they are phasing out lap band sooooooo many compilations. Maybe you should request a new doctor. Don't led one bad seed ruin it for you. Exercise is a big player in all wls. So hike away. Do what's best for you!

    Sleeve holds too much food

It varies everyone is different, I can eat a good amount of cream of wheat, because it really becomes liquid and goes right through. But any protien like chicken or beef I can't eat much. I am very aware when I eat too much. You'll be fine.
  8. I'm getting ready for TOM. And well I had the munchies. I'm 8 weeks out. And I know I went over my calories. I know its just one day.probably won't have a huge effect. But I want to know I'm not the only one who has done :-/

    Horrible

For constipation I use the glycerin suppositories. But usually I know I have to go before I use it. If you do use them drink a lot of fluid because it draws fluid to your intestines to move it through
  10. Ok I'm down 56 lbs over all 22 since surgery, but I've only lost 3 inches on my waist line.....does this make sense?

    Weight and waist?

I've definitely lost other places, I'm at the jiggly stage, my thighs, butt breasts and the areas under my arms even my shoes size has gone down a whole size. Which is uncomfortable because everything is lose, my husband has a fascination with my rear since it has become so "soft", which makes me uncomfortable.... So I just have to wait then to start losing from the waist. Thank u both I feel my weight loss has been slow but I need to get my fluids in which I've been struggling to do 6 weeks out. But I am getting my protein in. how have you both done since getting the surgery?
  12. Mine was 3lbs 9oz I asked they weighed and gave me the report on my surgery and lab work done on my stomach.
  13. I've been hungry (mentally) I don't think its my almost time if month(which tends to be the time my appetite picks up) I just have a veracious appetite and its been difficult to control. I don't need preaching I need help with solutions on how to control. I'm not binge eating I'm just eating throughout the day grazing if you will, and I try to go to bed early but I've had trouble sleeping for the last week. And I find myself tired, but forcing myself to walk for at least 45 minutes every other day. I'm 6 weeks out on monday. Thanks for the help.
  14. Thanks guys makes me feel good that I'm not alone. Thank you for the snack advice
  15. Fat holds all the hormones we produce so as that begins to dissolve you end up with hormonal changes that you would normally experience around your period Or it could be a fluctuation of your period I'm going on the pill in feb because I don't want to experience what I have in the past with weight loss I had a 4 month period ended up on birth control to get my body regulated. so I understand your concern and frustration. Maybe try a different form of birth control. good luck!
  16. Yep mine is back to normal after about 3 years of it being screwed up. DOS:12/10 first period arrived 12/30 it was 5 days, instead of 8.

    All of my December sleevers...

Usually its all weight lost combined. Use me as an example: Highest weight: 294.4 Day of surgery: 260.0 Current weight:239.4 Total loss of: 55lbs When since dec 10th(day of surgery) I've lost about 21 lbs. Make it easier?
  18. I'm 4 weeks out(monday starts week 5) I've lost 20 lbs that's about 5 lbs a week and what I'm reading is im a slow loser too. Those who have had theirs after me seem to have lost 20-30 lbs. But I'm grateful with 5 a week. I also lost nothing after my surgery for about a week and a half. It will come off. Sometimes or should I say most our body freaks out. Just give it time to learn how to function with your new tool Good luck chin up.

    Ever had this happen?

Thanks I appreciate it. At least I'm not the only person who does this.
  20. Ok so I have had issues. I have 2 or 3 days where I can't seem to get much in(300 to 400 cals) and the evenings can end up with a date with my "Catch it" bucket. And then one pretty easy day where I can consume 800 cals. I'm 5 weeks out and I'm not worried about 800 cals I'm just wondering if others do the same.

    Confused

The docs told me 600 to 700 calories a day. At that stage I'm 4 weeks out.
