  1. CROSSFIT! I have done it in the past but I'm sorry' date=' I know they say its scale-able but if you are heavier than about 230 pounds you are going to hurt yourself and/or your joints. My plan is to power down to as light as I can get as fast as I can (ideally about 200) pounds then start crossfit ASAP to take me the rest of the way.[/quote']

I started crossfit years ago and just got back into it 7 weeks post op and I feel like it's helping me. I started at 290 in Nov and I'm 245 right now... It's scalable you just can't push yourself to something your body isn't capable in doing yet. Good luck

  2. I was in your same shoes, I had my surgery one week before I turned 21. I was fine with not drinking on my actually birthday. I had my first drink at 4 weeks post op I had a margarita from Disney California adventure and it went down perfectly fine, and yea we are now cheap dates I got a buzz from it lol by the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :)

  3. i was about 5 weeks out and i had to have a coors light draft lol

Be very careful its very gassy and i burped so much at the end of the night i had only 1 1/3 cups of beer in a 4 hour span..... it goes thru you quickly .

i am 5 months out now....I only had beer that one time after... I like apple martinis! which were delicious for my birthday last week i took 4 shots and I was feeling like i drank all night like i did when i was younger lol

but just be very careful listen to your body..

go slow and if you get gassy change to something else.

Thanks girl for the advise :)

  4. Each person is differnt. My doctor is really strict no alchool for 6 months. I have also heard that when you do drink the first time should be at home because it could really hit you. I miss drinking but I am going to hold out for the 6 months or longer. You may take a few sips and not even want it.

That's how I was I guess I just wanted to buy it cause I can now lol I took like 6 sips and tossed it

  5. I was sleeved 11/5 so 9 days out today and I'm feeing great. I must say day 2 was the worst. Walking has helped with gas pains and I'm walking for 30 minutes 5 times a day. Just my large incision is the one is a little pain but I understand why. Still on clean liquids and trying to get all my fluids in. I'm only taking my pain meds at night it helps me sleep thru without waking up at like 3 or 4am. At first I was like omg why did I do this and today I'm so happy I did it. I'm already down 23 pounds since 10/28. & I'm going back to work tomorrow only for 3 hours. (I'm a bank teller. :)

  6. hi everyone!

hope everyone is doing good. I was running a fever last night and it started scaring me. i climbed up to100.1. im sooooo nervous about leaks..super afraid. i felt better when i woke up this morning and my fever was gone. back to a normal temp. question to all you 5 day post op sleevers is..are u getting a sharp 2 second pain in the chest area after you drink? i walked a bunch these past few days and havent had any gas pains really. yesterday this pain was frequent' date=' not as bad as today but still there. Is this the dreaded gas pain???? and are u guys still experiencing this?? im not sure how long they usually last. Also, my stomac was making some noises (like growling) earlier today, was scaring me a lil, but then i went to bathroom and finally had a BM (sorry too much info), and then it went away, but have u guys had this growling too? thank u so much for any experience input.. :)[/quote']

I was sleeved the same day, and this morning my stomach was making those weird noises too and I had a BM.. And my stomach still growls and I have no idea why...

And for the sharp pain I get a sharp pain on one of my left incisions but then it goes away once I lay down
