I am on quite a bit of "head meds" and have been for a dozen years. My WLS doctor told me to take them all up to the night before the surgery and that it was essential I take a xanax the morning of the surgery with a small sip of water...Yes anxiety is normal but a Dr who thinks a patient should quickly detox from psychiatric meds does not know what he is talking about. Coming off those meds too quickly could have VERY severe effects. Don't mean to scare you but question it.

Glad you heard back but make sure they know all themeds you are on which could possibly cause clotting probs. You might want to get second lab tests or talk to a hemotologist

That is why I opted out of Thanksgiving this year. Usually I go to New Jersey to see my cousins, a good friend invited me to T. dinner at her country club, a guy from the fire department asked me to join his family. I was so greatful for their good will but I knew I would be stressed and miserable so I sat home watched TV and conditioned my hair...There will be many other Thanksgivings....
