I am so glad that I had the sleeve revision! I now know what restriction really feels like. It isn't fun but I have lost 18 pounds in 23 days. Not bad! There are so many foods that I can't eat, which is for the best. Also, best of all, I am truly not hungry . I am very optimistic that this time I will be successful in dropping at least 50 pounds more to get to my target weight. Then hopefully I'll maintain forever. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Almanza because of the sketchy medical practices but I do have to say that this sleeve is done well.

Well, I did it. I got the sleeve revision. I am really hopeful that this does the trick. I am fairly certain that this doctor was more aggressive than my first surgon. I saw the post surgery x-rays yesterday and there doesn't appear to be any stomach left. No pouch at all that I can see. Yet I feel pretty good considering. I remember seeing the x-rays from my 1st surgery and there was definitely a pouch remaining. Maybe I just needed a microscopic "pouch". For those of you who were wondering, I did feel that my first sleeve was not done as "aggressively" as I needed and that the surgeon was very conservative in the amount of stomach he removed. I could never get the Dr. to admit to this though. He just said that I needed to work harder. I wasn't eating much (less than 900 calories a day) and I still wasn't losing. I exercised as much as I could, but putting myself first as a teacher and mother of 4 is very hard. Anyhow, here's hoping that my 2nd surgery has significant results. Time will tell...

I can totally relate to smhagood. I was so happy after my July 16,2013 surgery in Tijuana. I lost
30 pounds and then in January all weight loss stopped. I am still thrilled that I am off all of my
diabetes and cholesterol medicines but am very frustrated that I have not lost, in fact, have gained 5 pounds back. I was faithful and putting everything down on my fitness pal but no loss and I began eating more without any problems.
I stopped looking at this forum because it depressed me even more to see how much others were losing.
I am back on track and would like to hear from others that have stalled for over 6 months and then got back to losing.
I just needed to get this off of my chest and it happened when I saw someone that I could relate to.
Would like to know how others are dealing with similar situations. Thanks in advance

Dr. Siddiqui is very straight forward and professional. No small talk or reassurance like my primary care dr. He is a very good surgeon.
