  1. If you still have restriction' date=' I would try sticking to a low carb diet first. I saw this mentioned on another forum. May be worth a try if you are not losing weight right now.:

    Calories: no more than 800 cals every day your first year ....or.... until you reach GOAL

    DAILY Macronutrients: Protein ..90 grams

    carbs ...first year....less than 40 gs TOTAL (never NET)

    1year+ out ...never more than 60gs TOTAL for LIFE

    fats..... never more than 30 grams for LIFE!

    DAILY Measured food amounts:

    NEVER ..eat more than 4oz of food , no matter the type........ at any meal.... FOR LIFE.

    A couple noteworthy Ten Commandments:

    Thou shall not eat more than 3 meals per day and shall not have unhealthy Snacks between meals.

    Thou shall exercise 5 times per week for 40-45 minutes.

    Thou shall ONLY weigh yourself once per week

    Thou shall not covet the carbohydrate.[/quote']

  2. Congrats that was my goals it feel so good to finally reach 100 plds nd we have very similar stories... I was 316 startin 287 sw then cw is 198 my goals is 160 2 140. But u r really r doin wonderful...

  4. I feel like im doing something wrong. Only down 40 lbs and been stalled for months

    Have you gone back to basics? When I hit a stall, I go back to liquids & increase my Protein intake. I also go back to no carbs.

    It could also be that your body has hit starvation mode. If that's the case, you have to increase your calorie intake.

    What does your NUT say?

  5. I had always thought I didn't want children either. I married at 41 and then I thought that I would have a child and i wanted one at that point. But then cancer struck and I was told I couldn't have children. Now I regret that I didn't have one earlier, but still it wasn't the right decision at that time. It's just too bad that when it became the right decision, it was impossible. People say that I can adopt, but I don't want to. I've come to terms with the fact that I won't have children and I'm enjoying my freedom.

  6. I'm 44 and had surgery Oct. 15, 2012. I'm nearly a size 16 again & really am amazed. I'm a newlywed and would like to have my wedding photos redone when I reach goal. I was married in 2010 (first marriage & no children). I struggle with stress eating and am trying to use exercise as a stress reliever instead of food. I'm not always successful but I'm working on it. So far, it's been relatively easy, but I know it will get harder especially if I don't get my emotional eating under complete control. Protein Shakes help and keeping track at mfp.

    It's really hard to imagine what it will be like at a healthy BMI...I can't wait!

  7. Right good luck on that this had really been startin to take a little toad on me because I so much weight to go nd everything.seem to not be workin. Nd good luck on that lost that was kinda fast....good luck I wanna 135 n seems to be pickin up bad habits.

    I have picked up some old bad habits, too. I'm trying to fight them. When I avoid bad habits, I lose more. I keep going back to basics & that helps. If we stay focused, we can do it.

  8. Down to 178 lbs 38 lbs to my goal wearing a size 10 :*) YAY I would probably be at my goal if it weren't for all this extra skin. More gym time I guess.

    Good for you! I've got 68 pounds to go... unless I decide on a lower goal. I would love to be 145, but my doc says that's unrealistic. He says 160 is better. We'll see.

  10. I am now down 67 pounds and I am starting to notice the sag EVERYWHERE! My neck' date=' my arms (even the forearm??!!??) My thighs. Good thing I wasn't planning on wearing short-shorts or a bikini anyway. I have a rash in my groin area that will not go away and kind of "hoping" it will qualify me for some type of a lift that insurance will cover, although I am not thrilled with the idea of another surgery.[/quote']

    Yeah. .. more surgery is not thrilling. My arms really bother me. I had "wings" before, but they're worse now. I could actually fly with them! Haha...I have been working out and doing lots of weights for my arms. It don't know if it's working. My husband says they're smaller, but I can't tell. I think I'll measure them and start to keep track of that. Maybe that will keep me motivated.

    I did have a friend who lost a bunch of weight a long time ago. She said that she was saggy, too, but the skin eventually caught up. It took a couple years. She says she still has some sags, but not like it was. I'm hoping that's true.

    If I decide to have plastic surgery, I will probably wait a year after reaching goal. Goal still seems so far away.

  11. Hi! My sleeve date is October 25 2012. Sw 300/ CW 239 = 61 lbs down. I only lost 7 lbs from Jan 25 to Feb 20! ugh. I've gone back to 2 prot shakes a day' date=' cut way back on grazing and trying to get Vitamins in. scale slowly moving now, but long way to go. My body is shrinking but boy is it sagging!   12. Chills562 - I wish I could eat bread easier! It doesn't like me too much! I wouldn't think you could stretch out your sleeve in 4 months' date=' but you should ask your doc.

    On another note:

    I went to the doc Tuesday and the NP told me that I needed to cut my calories down to 600/day and increase my exercise 5x/week!! I am going to just die! My 10 year old keeps me running as it is and I work an hour from my house![/quote']

    How far out are you from surgery? I've been told to eat 1000 calories. I don't always make it, but I get close. I exercise 4-6 days per week.

I feel so bad that I can eat anything just smaller portions. But I have also noticed that I can eat a lot more now. I need to go back to the basics and also need to find a local support group.     I think it's normal that we can eat more now. Yes, bread is the devil. I can eat it, but I don't feel so great afterwards. I'm getting a little scared, too. I'm falling into some old habits and am stalled, too. I'm trying to go back to the rules & remind myself why I did this & that it's worth sacrificing bread & sweets. We can do this!

  14. Just after eating I sometimes feel a sharp pain just under my right ribs (half-way between the breastbone & the bottom rib).

    I get that, too. I have a slight restriction in my sleeve & if I eat too fast or too much, I get that pain. I have also experienced it with eating carbs. I think gall bladder pain will stick around more consistently. Kidney stones will give you back pain that radiates to the front...pretty low in the abdomen.

    That's just what I have experienced. I'm not on expert.

  15. I dont see him till monday nd da 25th nd im.supposed to be 198 2 200 ive only lost one pld. Nd no I havent talked to him should I call him nd he said I gotta be 128 2 140 2 b healthy

    Call him. If you're not comfortable talking to him, maybe talk to your nutritionist.
