  1. I'm almost 3 weeks post op,using only liquid vitamins, they are nasty as heck but since I can only do liquids it works. I did have to search around but I got the iquid calcium from Walmart and then Publix and Whole Foodss. Hope this helps
  2. I make two weeks tomorrow and Im still on phase 2 until the 5th week is when I can start eating eggs per the diet the doctor has given me. All I eat is soups, water, protein shakes, popsicles, yogurt, broth, jello and cottage cheese. My problem is making sure I get all my protein in and eating when I dont feel like it and for some reason I cannot stomach the sugar free pudding when I loved pudding before.
  3. Sleeved 12/28 doctors appointment today down 14 pounds so far. I'm ready to start jog/run, as of tomorrow. I do need to get more protein intake so I started adding it in smoothies with my other vitamins
  4. YES!!!!! Moving forward to getting sleeved. Everything should happen in no time at all now, you should be sleeved within 30 days give or take. I happy for you
  5. Don't get discouraged, my BMI was like 35 and I had no medical issues at all just being overweight and I told the doctors I needed to have surgery as a preventative measure. Everyone experience is difference, but one thing I would tell you is to look up Aetna policy for weightloss and you can call and speak with a rep and they will tell you EXACTLY the qualifications and you would see that you should be fine. My mind use to race with many different thoughts and possibilities, I got sleeved on 12/28/12 and doing great. Get with the coordinator for the surgeon and they have been doing this many ties and know what to submit for approval. I did not have to do any sleep studies, only psych eval, 6mos,2 year weight history and that was it.
  6. Aetna looks for documented weight that should be fine.
  7. Awesome! go girl a start of a new beginning:)
  8. Good, stay with it, as long as you can get your weight documented for two years it doesnt have to be the same source. Everything will work out. Keep me posted
  9. Have you heard anything as of yet?
  10. I'm just glad you got that part out of the way, and now you can mentally prepare yourself and get ready. Follow up with your doctor though and see what date they have for you. It sounds like they have already notified Aetna without letting you know anything, having you all nervous for nothing smh.... but it DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DATE!!!!! YEAH!!!!
  11. Thanks for reminding me about the chapstick, I havent packed anything, its like Im in a gof or something Im moving in sllllllllllloooooooooooww motion. But hopefully that will change by next week because Im passed ready.
  12. Lol,my bad about the bday.We will keep encouraging each other every bit of the way. Im ready but again Im still kinda scared. Have you finished your shopping?
  13. My date is 12/28 at 8:00am,my birthday is in July so we are both Cancers, toooo funny.Yes we gots to get on it and max it out, Gods will I can reach my goal of at least 60 pounds but Im praying I can do more in 6mos
  14. In regards to the money for the out if pocket speak with the financial office at the hospital and make payment arrangements, had I not asked I would be paying 750 oop, they made arrangements for me to pay half now and the rest over the next 12 months..Check it out
  15. I totally understand and for awhile I had that same attitude. But remember about two weeks prior to your surgery you have to do your liquid diet to shrink your liver so you will loose weight then.Im sure you will be ok but be mindful not to over indulge. Its time to mentally prepare for the new you.
  16. Aetna is very good. The requireme 6 months with pcp or 3 mon with nutritionist, psych eval, gall bladder scan, 2 year weight hist and thats it basically. Approval about 5-10 days.
  17. As long as it shows your weight history.I used a the weightloss program for my history.
  18. Just do it!!!! I fight with myself everyday and I haven't been sleeved yet. It's a must, you haven't come this far for nothing, push yourself even but take baby steps, even if its something as simple as walking an extra 5-10 minutes or doing another set of reps. Your worth it so do it:) BTW, I'm sleeping in tomorrow bc I'm tired, jk, lol:)
  19. You've made it this far, this is the nail bitting stage but Aetna is fast and efficient you should here something soon. good luck:)
