  1. Omg me too! Totally embarrassed! I didn't tell many people and the lens I did have been are still are very supportive! But yea, in my head I'm like, wow you cut off most of your tummy and you aren't at a healthy weight. I have no restriction what so ever! Not to mention in always hungry. My doc believes I had to issues with revision approval bc I've never missed an appt for follow ups and I've been given approval from my nut and psychic clearance.

I personally know I need the restriction. I am an over eater and I binge eat.

I only want to get to 150, but trying to get there from 206 is like trying to lose weight before the sleeve.

  2. Wow a week and a day and I'm approved for my revision! I had the sleeve done on 12/16/12 and I'm going for bypass on 8/18/14, due to gerd and a stretched sleeve. My weight lose was around 40 lbs with the sleeve and I've actually gained 15 of it. I started off at 239 post op, current weight 206, lowest weight since sleeve 189 (for about a day).

  3. I've had the sleeve which was easy recovery for me. I've lost 45 lbs. Unless I diet and Excersize hard cute I'll pretty much stay here. Now I gave scar tissue which is pulling at the shake of my stomach changing it. Also have acid reflux. So next week I am applying to insurance for revision to bypass.

  4. My weight has halted and maintained for several months. After upper GI doc noticed due to scar tissue my stomach shape by my esophagus has changed and is now causing gerd. In addition my stomach has stretched bc the food isn't going down properly and if I eat at say 3pm the food doesn't go down until the next time I eat, so all that extra food is going into my stomach at one time. Hope that makes sense kinda wordy! ;)

  5. I was sleeved 12/27/13 I'm down roughly 40 lbs and need to get rid of 60 more. My sleeve is not stretched due to scar tissue distorting the shape of the sleeve.

    My options :

    Re sleeve

    Or

    Bypass

Totally confused! Please any words of wisdom appreciated!

When I went for the sleeve it was easy to find many positive stories. The bypass procedure seems riskier.

    Help!

  6. I think some people look down on me for having the surgery so young' date=' like they think I didn't give myself long enough to try and lose it on my own. Well I've been trying to lose weight and keep it off since I was 13 and was obviously unsuccessful.

The surgery has completely changed my life. Now I exercise 5 days a week and I love it. I've lost 110lbs and I never could have done that without this.

    Good luck I hope you have another baby <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Who cares what anyone thinks! You saved your life!! Not to mention if you started when you were 13 you for sure had many years and tears of trying on your own!

  7. How does Isopure taste?

    Also did u exercise?

Isopure isn't bad, slightly gritty, I try to get it down in the morning but you could sip on it all day. Try to get it done so it's out of the way. As far as Exercise ill b honest has been minimal. Literally 20 minutes a day bc I'm not consuming many calories. Hope that helps! Please let me kno if u have anymore questions.

  9. Thank ladies. Unfortunately, I had to have a D and C last week due to a miscarriage. Just wasn't meant to be. The doctor said it happened at conception and that I and/or the surgery didn't contribute to the miss. We are still going to try but in a few more months.

Down to 190 this morning! I don't feel hungry either! Just slightly cranky and visually everything looks yummy, which I'm used to dealing with from immediately after surgery.

Hoping to get into the 180's this week!

  11. Interesting. Thank you for the detailed post. I'm stuck at around 230 and have been for weeks or months it seems. Thinking about going back like you did.

    Sw 300 on 10/25/12

    Cw 230

    50/F

    5'10"

I was 196 on March 22, 2013. That three month break I took was way too long! It wasn't a stall bc I knew what I was doing wrong! Trust me you can do this! This is far from easy but possible!

2 days ago I was 196, yesterday I went back to the basics. What I mean is, I went on my full liquid diet from post op. but incorporated clear and full liquids.

9am-12pm sipped on Isopure 40 grams of Protein

    2pm miso Soup

    3pm sugar free Italian ices

5:30-6:30 pm sipped on 2 Atkins shakes (20 total grams of protein)

8pm 1 sugar free ice pop

I sipped on Water and unsweetened ice tea all day.

At 10pm, I did have 2 egg whites, only bc my husband said a was cranky! Lol I was!! Then I passed out!!!

    This morning 191!!!!!

This can and will be done!! Go with what you know!

  13. I am 5 months post op. Just left the obgyn, based on my last period I should be 7wks 5 days, problem is the baby is measuring 2 weeks smaller. I have to go back next Monday to see if it has grown. They don't know anything until then. Doesn't help that all of my pregnancy symptoms have stopped :(

  14. I am roughly 4 mo. 2 weeks Post Op and just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant. This will be our second child. I'm in shock I think. Selfishly I'm wondering will I loose weight during pregnancy (not that I want to), but for restrictive reasons?? Im scared that bc i cant eat much, will that harm the baby? Will I loose weight after the baby? Can I still drink my Protein drinks? Did I ruin my chances of ever getting rid of this weight? I still have 45 more to loose.

    Help!!!
