    Focus T25

I have been doing T25 for a month and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Love the 25 minute workouts and the effect the workouts have on my body. I've lost inches and 5 pounds. They have a great cookbook that comes with it with 5 easy ingredients and short prep time. I am having my gallbladder out on Wednesday and bummed I had to stop the workouts before moving to the next phase so excited to get back into it when my doctor clears me to workout again. If anyone is interested in their products let me know T25 is actually on sale through beachbody through the end of August and amI in a group on FB with a ton of people all doing T25 and supporting each other through the workouts. I am so glad you are having such great results with T25!! :-)

    Missing My Hot Sauce

I miss my hot sauce too! I had my surgery on the 15th and have been tolerating everything that I am allowed to have and am itching to try my franks hot sauce in my Soup (just a dab) but have been very nervous about trying it but I am also meeting with the dietician and the surgeon for a follow up on Monday and hot sauce will be my first question I have for them! :-) I soooo love that so many of you had/has the same thoughts as me about the hot sauce! :-)

    Chia Seeds!

When did you start using chia seeds post surgery? I used them religiously before being sleeved but was sleeved last Thursday and I miss using them for all their health benefits. I wanted to know if I could start using them so close to my surgery day. I plan on asking my dietician but I was curious when you anyone here may have started using them post surgery.
  4. I'm looking for any good light chicklit-ish type books for recovery time. I love things that are light, funny and pretty non serious especially to take my mind off things. Taking any and all suggestions! :-)

    Confession

you literally took the words from me. barring other current health situations i am currently undergoing i have always felt that way. you get it done girl! EVERYONE deserves a ME moment and this is yours! Take it and run and do what makes you happy, you deserve it and don't ever let anyone tell you this is the easy way out. Yeah it helps in getting to some of our goals but we are still making a complete lifestyle change and if it was something we all could have done on our own, we would have. Everyone deserves to feel fabulous!!!

    Nervous Excitement

Thank you so very much for your kind words and thoughts!!
  9. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, well I've been reading for a couple of weeks and posting here for the second time. I wanted to share a part of my story and ask if anyone has had similar circumstances. This past August, I was diagnosed with a pre-uterine cancer which is basically cancer that hasn't imbedded itself into my body quite yet. My doctor gave me the option to have a hysterectomy or taking high doses of progesterone 4 times a day for 3-4 months. Seeing that I am only 29 and am still hoping to have babies, I opted for the medication hormone treatment. My doctor told me my weight was probably the thing that affected my hormone production the most and and being overweight tends to be highly correlated with the existence of that specific cancer in my body so I should look into starting a more rigorous health and exercise regimen. (I had just finished 2 years of full time grad school while working full time my health regimen certainly took a hiatus during that time). The only problem with losing the weight is that the medication I was on and the high doses I was on could prevent me from losing a lot of weight if any. (In addition to cancer treatment, the medication itself is also used as a weight gainer for patients who lost too much weight from chemo). So already being overweight my doctor suggested checking out gastric bypass surgery. It would help in me losing the weight and assist in the probability of the cancer diminishing itself and lessen the probability of reoccurrence. After doing ridiculous amounts of research, internet, info sessions and what have you I opted for the surgery. My surgery date is set for November 15th and it cannot come soon enough! I am completely looking forward to a new healthier me and have strong hopes that my cancer will go away (and hopefully not come back) after that. Some days I feel really positive about everything, others I am entirely nervous but mostly it's just a hot mess of the 2 emotions. It's one thing to talk to family and friends about everything but I am finding that reading parts of this forum has been the most helpful so I decided to share my story in hopes of someone maybe having a similar experience, words of advice or anything. I am generally a very outgoing and sarcastic person so this probably a more serious post than I would normally like to put out there, but I figured if anyone would understand it would be the people on here. Thanks for the listen (or reading) everyone. -- Robin

    Dry Curly Hair

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum and I haven't had my surgery yet (in a little less than a month) but this thread caught my eye. I have had super thick curly hair my whole life and spent most of it trying to make it straight. I recently got my hair cut and my hair dresser tried out the new DevaCurl system on my hair and it's AMAZING! It is literally the only product line that has ever controlled my hair and made the curls look great and not frizzy and gross plus it's super moisturizing. You wash and condition and put in the product and go and your hair dries really nicely. I have accepted and embraced my curly hair (part of the new me I suppose) and totally recommend the product line! And it wasn't too expensive considering the amount of time and money I used to waste on my hair. I hope that helps!
