  1. How silly that they deny you based on eight pounds! Id say put weights in your pockets, wear heavy shoes, heavy jeans, and lots of layers. And try to weight during PMS.
  2. Well holy crap! I just had a tiny amount of bread to test myself. Big big mistake. Ouch ouch ouch. Even my back hurts. Wth.
  3. I hope that's it! I just wasn't thinking about it at all. Gee I wonder how I got to be fat. Lord.
  4. I'm three weeks out tomorrow and I was just logging my food on myfitnesspal and realized a small Greek yogurt is 5 ounces. I just ate that in half an hour! Have I stretched my sleeve already? I was drinking water with it (I know, I know). Help please!
  5. Do you live with your boyfriend? What does he do to stop you from going to the gym? Men come and go. Someone who is actively preventing you from caring for yourself and living a long life for your children is not a good partner. I'm sorry to be harsh but my ex husband was like that, and I wasted so many years of my life with someone who only cared about what was begs for him, not what was best for me or our child. Stop letting him control you. You went through so much to have the surgery, you did that for you not for some guy.
  6. I'm in Creve Coeur but I work in O Fallon.
  7. I'll be three weeks tomorrow. I'm having days where I have no energy, I'm crabby, bored and feel like I don't know what to do. I have days where I feel ok. I'm down 32 pounds from February, 17 down since surgery. Working on my emotional and mental issues, really not feeling up to doing any exercise. I'm just so worn out. On a good day I'm getting 800 calories, most days 600 or so.
  8. I just had counseling today. I don't know if this applies to anyone else but I have always had a part of me from childhood trauma who wanted to get control by choosing what she wants to eat and how much (usually a LOT, big surprise). I have done so much therapy and hypnotherapy and as you can guess nothing works. She wants control. It's just that now she has no choices. She can't binge if she wants to. She can't even eat a piece of lean meat if she wants to. I feel like this part of me is sad that she lost the battle. I'm not sure if this makes sense to anyone else. But I have had days in the last month where I've thought "fine, if all I can eat is this protein crap, I'm just not eating." Which is just the opposite reaction to food.
  9. I'm in for a St l group on the West side!
  10. You should start taking vitamins ASAP! I think our bodies have a hard time adjusting to the huge decrease in calories and processing all the toxins and hormones that are being released by our fat cells. I would start on vitamins and measure your water to be sure you get 64 oz a day of fluid. I hope you feel better soon!
  11. Mine was the same day. I'm still tired as hell.
  12. You look small to me! Not fat at all. How tall are you?
  13. Good luck Maggie! I had a very low energy day today. Spent a lot of time in bed and napping. I just don't get how some people are back to normal and I'm still dragging.
  14. Plus soda leaches nutrients out of your body and we need all the nutrients we can get.
  15. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like you are eating fries and chocolate. I think most doctors know that some of us are going to cheat, and that if cheating means eating some peas and egg whites that's ok. They know we are food addicts or we wouldn't be fat. The first week I had a little but of chicken breast every other day. The second week I didn't cheat but I was miserable. The weekend before I was basically in bed because I was avoiding anything food related and I felt like crap. Some surgeons only make their patients do shakes and veggies, some only do three days of liquids. You will be fine. It will be ok. After surgery you won't be able to eat anything. You won't want to. Don't be so hard on yourself.
  16. Of course my intestines are a mess for no reason. No nookie tonight. A glass of wine would be nice.
  17. LMAO!!! Well alright. Funny thing is I'm usually the one who wants it more! I think I'm more worried about missionary. Lol.
  18. Oh my other one. I was sitting on the couch and I realized I felt comfortable, I didn't feel like there was some huge bulky thing sitting on my stomach.
  19. Oh I forgot scrambled eggs. My dr said if you can purée it you can have it. I seriously can't stand the thought of puréed meat so I don't do that. I got a can of crab meat and added it to cream of shrimp soup with extra garlic and some chicken broth. It was really good.
  20. No, I went through the same thing. Just tell them in pre op. Sometimes they give you disposable underwear and a pad, sometimes they tell you to put a pad between your legs. Usually they have a big absorbent pad under you anyway.
  21. Wait until you had intercourse? It's been two and a half weeks and I mentally want to but I'm kind of scared at the same time! I know my husband would like to. I don't have any pain in my abdomen from the incisions anymore. What was your experience?
  22. Some days I'm at 600, some days 800. I've been losing steadily, I get 60 grams of protein in a day.
  23. Didn't your surgeon tell you what you could eat? I eat Greek yogurt with PB2 or Protein powder Sf pudding Cottage cheese Ricotta cheese with Protein powder Cream Soups
  24. Kind of a vague one but I put on a shirt I haven't worn in months and I just stared at myself. I look so different in this shirt now. I just kept staring.
