  2. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago today. I am down 13 lb since surgery but 23 since pre op diet. Today I get to have pureed food. What timing for mashed potato and pumpkin pie. I can hardly wait!
  3. In our book from our doctor's office there are a ton of recipes in there. I plan on taking a crustless pimpkin pie and a sweet potato dish. I can have both because I was sleeved on the 8th of Nov. and that means that Thanksgiving day is my first day on puree.
  4. I am 1 week and 2 days out. Today had been my best day yet. I went to 5 Christmas open houses. Pretty tired after that. I am getting about 40 protein and most of my water in. Beside that I eat 1.5 ounces of soup 2 x a day. I.5 ounces of some type of fruit-applesauce usually and then at night I have about 2 oz of sf carmel pudding. I still take all my pain meds because I had a large hernia repaired. My two weeks checks up is on the 26. So far I am not feeling too left out, but we are going to friends house tonight for beer, pizza, and cards. Testing beging now.....
  5. I was also sleeved on the 8th and I have had alot of pain. I also had a hernia reapair so I'm sure that factor is contributing to it. I also have tons of spass. Not feeling the greatest when I eat.
  6. I have tons of gas ususally out the other end at night. I get bloated most of the day. I have tried gas x 1 pill and that has seemed to help. My majior problem is spasms! I had a hernia repair also, and am really suffering. Trying to take some kind of med every 2 hrs for pain. ouchie.
  7. I was sleeved on 11/8/12. I had a hernia repaired. I am still having lots of spasms. When I swallowor not, I'm going to call my dr. this am. I am getting more down, but itsreally hard.
  8. I am ready for tomorrow. I have a 3.5hr drive. Don't care though, I would drive 24 straight if I had to.
  9. Thanks! Had a pretty good day, not hard to just drink, but this colon clense is a killer.
  10. So excited for tomorrow to come. I'm ready! Having a hard time concentrating at work. My sx is not till 11:30 so it will be a long time fasting after midnight...
  11. Yes, I am in the U.S., but will check in. I have to say that my stomach has also shrunk. I have been on a 1200 calorie diet for two weeks. I will switch to a liquid diet on Tuesday. Good luck!
  12. I'm going on Thursday also. We got to have a cheat day before, so I had a good time last night with friends and kinds felt a little disgusted watching the amount of food that some people were eating. I hope that doesn't continue because I don't want to get grossed out by food, although that would be a novel idea as to that has never happened to me before in my life.
  13. Good thoughts are headed your way....
  14. I am so happy for you that it is going well. Be sure and keep me updated on your progress as I am going to be right at 3 weeks behind you. Gosh, I can't hardly believe that it is almost here!
  15. I am from upper northwest Iowa, although I am going to Des Moines to have my surgery done by Dr. LaMasters on November 8th. Super excited! 10 days to go....
  16. I also started my 2 weeks pre-op on Thursday. I am allowed 1200 calories a day. Anything from a lean cusine meal for lunch or a shake if you choose. Then 2 days before the surgery, which for me is November 9, you go on the liquid diet. The at 2 pm the day before surgery kind of a colon clense. After reading this I feel VERY fortunate to be able to still eat normal foods before the surgery just in much smaller portions, and I feel that I am so ready for a change that I am not feeling deprived or cheated.
