Sleeved 9/10/12. So far I have lost 67ibs. Went to the doctor two weeks ago and he said that the majority of his patients loose 75-85% of their excess weight in the first year. I am at 81% in 9 months. WooHoo! Pinky Green...shopping is a whole new experience, right!....
Good luck to everyone!

My BMI was 38 and I had co-morbidities. The day after surgery my sleep apnea was gone! I am 11 weeks out and my BMI is now 29.8 which I think means I am now just overweight instead of obese...lol. And yes, it has been a life style change for me but well worth it! Best of luck.

I really still can't eat much food. Just about 5 or 6 bites of something and that's it. Antone else struggling with that?

6 weeks out and down 39 lbs (9 pre-op). My doctor wants me to only eat 3 meals a day now but I still can't get down more then about 2 oz at a time...so I have been having 4-5 small meals a day. I am just not getting in enough nutrients with the three meals a day at about 2 oz each meal...best of luck to all

I am constantly trying to slow down my eating. I will get that stuck feeling and I have thrown up twice (6 weeks out) from either eating too fast or too much. If I do not concentrate on it I will eat fast just out of habit. I find if I read something (like the newspaper) while I am eating it helps, I put my utensil down and read. It really slows me down. Otherwise I really watch the clock and try to make myself go 20-30 minutes. The thing that sucks the most is the food always gets stone cold. Best of luck......

Hi all:
My first post, but I have been reading the threads for some time now and find it so helpful! I was sleeved on 9/10, my starting weight was 249 and am down a total of 44 lbs (9 lost during pre-op).

I really eat basically what I want, just small quantities. I too should be more careful and I really hate to exercise. I guess one good thing is that I am very conscious of what I am eating, try to only eat Protein and veggies for meals and for the most part I stay away from carbs. So kix you are not alone with the struggles.....
