  1. You're beautiful. I'm sure if you are honest with your doc and yourself it will be ok

I loose when I eat right and workout - I just don't ever keep it up kids' date=' family, dogs, volunteer work and well.....,LIFE! Guess I'm lazy too, or maybe neglected myself off & on so much I need to learn to commit to myself and make "me & my health" a priority.

I wish you all the luck and peace there is. It's nice to hear honesty.

That is how I feel I am 25 with 4 of my own kids and 2 step kids I just don't have time I gave up on myself I wish I had someone to go to the gym with me so I don't feel so scared

  2. I think everyone's second guessed going through with surgery. It's pretty normal when you consider that we're voluntarily removing 85% of our stomach. I'd say that anyone who doesn't give it a second' date=' or third, or more thought probably hasn't thought about it enough.[/quote']

This is me I have lost 15 pounds since I think I am just being lazy and just don't want to eat right or exercise. When I do eat right and work out I do lose the weight I think I can do it on my own....I feel like I am just wasting my doctors time! :-(

  3. Ilmkids--it's not as bad as you think. The psych eval is done to make sure you don't have unrealistic expectations of what your life will be like after surgery. Obviously things will change and many of them for the better. The docs just want to make sure you are a well-adjusted person making a well-informed choice that will affect the rest of your life. When I did it' date=' I had to take a 10 page test. The questions may seem dumb, but just be honest when you answer. These tests provide a pretty accurate psych profile. Good luck![/quote']

    Thanks so much

  4. Love Temple! Dr. Meilahn & Dr. White.... They did an awesome job! I had surgery on August 27th' date=' 2012. Since my 2 week preop diet I have dropped 56 pounds! So thats a total of 9 weeks .... Dr Meilahn can come across a little abrupt BUT he is a seasoned veteran surgeon! He is a good man & has my respect. I started at the hospital in the northeast - Jeanes ... but as I got approved Temple had more surgical dates open & I had the surgery done downtown. I have kept my post op check ups at the TU office....[/quote']

I have to go for my psych evaluation on December fifth and I am so scared I don't know what to think they say after that appointment it takes 24 hours for approval from health partners I am anxious scared depressed and happy everything at the same time I hope they approve me wish me luck
